I guess I missed it. ALL IN DUE COURSE OF TIME.Manveer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2017 11:11 am Thanks to everyone who chipped in! We are actually going to put a hold on donations/take away the donation button for now. It would be wasteful to hold extra funds that we don't have use for right now. Hopefully the site will be self-sustaining after this kick start.

Are you actually set up as a de jure non-profit? I would pitch in at some point, but I'd need the tax benefits.

We'll have t-shirts for sale.
Not at this time. You could always just deduct the amount you would save in taxes from your contribution. Or just donate to your favorite nonprofit instead.

Re: Donations
Eh, I'm not real big on non-profits or charities. In net, i think the funding has to starve better projects, so it probably just diminishes growth rates and maybe causes some inflation.
Tee shirts aren't a bad idea. What will they say? I only want one with Rip on the front, preferably as depicted in a pharaoh meme.

Donations and T-Shirt Update
Hello everyone!
To those of you who contributed, I want to thank you on behalf of the Exodus Strength forum and community. Separate from the initial seed money, your donations after Paypal fees (which were 5% ), we made $365.99. The donations have paid for over three years worth of hosting!
T-SHIRT NEWS
We just did an initial test run of t-shirt printing. The founders all paid for our t-shirts out of pocket. There were a few exceptionally generous donors, and we gave them each a free shirt.
Personally, I think the shirts turned out quite nicely. They are printed on pre-shrunk 100% cotton Anvil 980 shirts, and are very soft. I lifted yesterday at the meet in this shirt, and give it a solid thumbs up. Here is a mock-up of the shirt:
I only have potato quality photos of the actual shirt because I have a potato phone, but here are some of me in the new t-shirts. I weigh approximately 62 kg and wear a men's small.
I AM TAKING PRE-ORDERS for a real print run of t-shirts.

- We will sell them for $20 USD each, including domestic shipping + tracking. International shipping will be a little more expensive and depends on where you want the shirt shipped. (But I checked pricing for CA to Australia and it's under $15 USD.)
- If you order two shirts, the price is $35 shipped domestically.
- We are offering a $5 discount to those who donated previously (this is the at-cost price for the shirt, including domestic shipping).
- If you want a shirt, PM me your information: t-shirt size, mailing address, etc, and we'll need upfront payment for the shirt. After you PM me your info, I'll respond with the correct payment information. (If you don't feel comfortable PMing me your information, you can email me. PM me that you want the email address.)
- Please place your order by November 10th! I will order some extra shirts, but there's no guarantee you'll get your size of choice if you don't pre-order.

Awesome. Did you get any comments at the meet?
Can any guys attest to the fit? About true to size compared to other tee shirts?

Well, I think I have to order a couple. But I'll wait until y'all figure out the true size of them. I hope they are better quality than the SS t-shirts.

Yeah I want one, but I'll wait for some sexy pics of Manveer modeling it for us so I can decide what size to get.

Re: Donations and T-Shirt Update
Once I place an order for shirts, it takes about a week for them to get printed and arrive from the printers. Then we package them and ship them out. Domestic shipping from us to you is a couple of days via USPS.
I can't place an order until we get at least 10 shirts pre-ordered. It's not really worth it to screen print less than 10 at a time.
Place your pre-order by November 10th. I'm gonna order a bunch of shirts in different sizes, but if you don't pre-order, you might not get a chance to buy your preferred size.

Re: Donations
I'll, uh... see what I can do. Really need to send one to JC if that's what you're after though.
So, once we hit 10 pre-orders, you'll place an order? Or...would it be better to set a deadline for pre-orders and then order that many? Not sure how many you need to order to get a price break.chromoly wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2017 1:08 pmOnce I place an order for shirts, it takes about a week for them to get printed and arrive from the printers. Re: Donations
OK fine, whatever. Put in your pre-orders by November 10th? Does that seem fair? I'll just order some miscellaneous sizes (and pay upfront) if we don't get 10+, then we can have extra laying around if people decide they want a shirt after the 10th.

lets have a contest for the artwork for the next batch of shirts.
I have a couple of ideas, some of our members are handy with artwork and things of that nature
