BenM wrote: Wed Oct 31, 2018 2:31 pm That's exactly my issue. I'm actually making progress for the first time in ages, but I think I'm doing way more than I need to and could probably do even better if I reduced it a little.

Just gotta finish this mesocycle and deload, then rethink. Will watch what you get up to with interest! :)
That's good to hear that you're making steady progress. It's really hard to gauge what's required, I think. For example, am I making progress now? Or just rebuilding what I already have? There are so may variables and factors to take into consideration, I think.

Good day all!

I said I was going to log, and then got caught up in a bunch of stuff. Well... it was my wedding reception, busy at work, and then I got sick for about 10 days.

Anywho, I will do my best to log going forward.

My workouts are a lot shorter compared to the 1.5-2.5 hour marathons I used to endure about 4x a week. I now try to limit my sessions to 60 minutes or less when possible. It's for a number of reasons, some of which are that getting "stronger" isn't a huge priority in my life. If it happens by accident, great! If not, that's fine.

I used to have a drive to want to compete and thought that this would be the year that I'd compete again, but it doesn't look like it, and I don't see myself wanting to compete next year either. Maybe it's the lack of "fun" meets. Who knows...

But, I love training and working out in general!

Enough babbling... here's my past 3 days:

November 26th, 2018 - Monday

HB Squat - 185x8x3
Bench Press - 145x8x4
RDL’s - 185x8x2
Dragon Flags / Chin Ups / Dips
Air Bike - 5 minutes

November 27th, 2018 - Tuesday

Clean and Press - 125x1; 135x1; 145x1; 115x3x5
DB Incline / CS DB Rows / Air Squats - 2 sets
Push ups / Inverted Rows / Decline Crunches - 3 sets
Front Lever Practice
Arms - 3 sets
Air Bike - 5 minutes

November 28th, 2018 - Wednesday

Cardio - Air Bike - 42 minutes

I think that's all for now!

Have a great day everyone!

Cheers!

Haha thanks Ben! I feel pretty bad for not logging. I'm on the forums regularly reading, but I don't seem to do much typing.

Good morning fellow lifters!

November 29th, 2018 - Thursday

Deadlift - 275x8x2; 275x6
Press - 105x8; 105x5; 95x5x2
DB Bench - 60x8; 60x6 / Goblet Squats - 60x6x2
Toes to Bar / Chin Ups / Dips
Air Bike - 5 minutes

November 30h, 2018 - Friday

Clean & Press - 115x3x6
DB Incline / Barbell Rows - 3 sets
Inverted Rows / Push Ups / Decline Crunches - 3 sets
Chin Ups / Dips - 3 sets
Front Lever Practice
Air Bike - 5 minutes

Good sessions on both days. Deadlifting 8's is just a terrible idea... but I guess so is pressing 8s. But, it was likely a load selection problem... c'est la vie.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Cheers!
