Wedesday 13 June 2018
AMBW 196.4lbs
W2D2

Press (10min density block) 55(121)x5,5,5,5,3,3,3,3,3,3,3=41
DB Row (7min density block) 26(57)x15,8,5,4,4,4,3,3,3=49
KB Swing (5min) 20(44)x10x6=60

I think calories are going to have to come down. I'd planned on doing cardio 2-3 times a week. I haven't found the time and energy so far and don't see that changing.

TnG Bench 100(220)x1, 107.5(237)x1, 96(211)x2x2

Sunday 17 June 2018
AMBW 193.8lbs (-5.2lbs)
Waist 35.5in (-0.75in)

Squat 145(319)x3x2, 140(308)x3x3

Bench
TnG 95(209)x3
2ct 95(209)x1
TnG 95(209)x3
2ct 95(209)x1
TnG 95(209)x3
2ct 95(209)x1
TnG 95(209)x3
2ct 95(209)x1

I'm glad I ended up leaving macros/calories a few more days as the scale started moving again. I'm just about where I hoped to be two weeks in, so I'm very happy with progress. Bench felt good tonight. Squats were a bit tougher. The third rep of the second set slowed down a lot, so I dropped the weight by 5kg for the remaining sets, and that was much more comfortable. During this cut I'm going to drop the weight on the bar whenever needed to maintain volume. I don't want to beat myself up (mentally and physically) by stubbornly refusing to accept that performance will take an inevitable hit at times.

Tuesday 19 June 2018
AMBW 193lbs (-6lbs)
W3D1
1hr 30min

Squats 117.5(259)x6x6 2min rest
TnG Bench 77.5(170)x7x6 2min rest
SGDL 120(264)x5x4

I was feeling it a bit by the time I finshed SGDLs. But strength is holding up pretty well considering bodyweight is tumbling down. Much less DOMS the following day that when I last did this volume, but that might be because I opted for SGDL instead of RDL this time round.

I might have missed it, but what’s your goal weight?

The game plan was to lose 6-10lbs in 4-5 weeks. Given where I am I'll be happy to get to 190lbs after 4 weeks, then reverse for the 5th before I'm away with my family for two weeks. I'll reverse/maintain those weeks depending on willpower! Then I'll reassess, but I'll probably stay in a slight surplus (maybe gaining 1-2lbs a month) until the end of the year.

I'm surprised how much better body comp feels already. Suddenly my clothes all fit that little bit better.

Long term I like the idea of being 205lbs at 12-15% bf. I think it is doable, although I'm not sure I have the discipline to make it happen. I actually find gaining and losing weight fairly easy. Gaining good weight, not so much. :)
