2019-03-15 Session 26

Press 105x7x4, 105x5x1,105x5x1
LM Rows 65x10x5
DB Curls 30sx7x5

I decided to try something different to see if it helps my shoulder. First time to OHP since end of October. It felt awkward, but so far my shoulder feels better. Not sure if it is the movement or the lower intensity. Maybe I just need to lower intensity on bench press to help my shoulder, but it already hurts on just 65% so maybe it is the movement. I think I will run a few weeks of just press to see how it feels, probably using MM.

2019-03-18 Session 27

OHP 115x5x1, 105x7x4, 95x7x1
TBDL 245x5x5
DB Curls 30sx7x4
LM Row 45x10, 60x10, 70x10x2

My right shoulder sucks. My press form sucks. I was doing so much more back in the fall.

I am going to have to drop weight and find a pain free intensity/ROM/movement that I can build from. I think the std 2 week MM is better for me than hi volume.

Back still a little sore. Right in the middle. Kept TBDL light.

Super sets of curls and rows.

2019-03-21 Session 28

Belt Squat 45x10, 90x10, 135x10, 180x10x2

Bench 95x8x5

I am not even sure if this counts as a workout. Played around with landmine belt squats a little bit. A little awkward, but not too bad.

Trying to rehab my right shoulder. I could feel a little bit of discomfort even at 95 pounds, so I just stayed there. It was not hard, but it hurt a little.

Not sure how things will go for a while. Baseball season has started, so my schedule will be out of wack for a couple months. Maybe that will help with my shoulder.

2019-03-24 Session 29

TBDL 225x8x1, 245x8x3

OHP 105x7x5, 105x6x1

Belt Squat 90x10, 135x10

Bench Press 95x8x1

Right shoulder still hurts. It wasn't too bad on OHP, but it hurt on BP. Gotta get this figured out and fixed.

Belt squats weren't hard, but I was trying a new set up using a rack safety arm as the pivot instead of the landmine. It doesn't work as well, although I sort of like having the bar in front of me instead of straddling it. I need to figure out the best set up.

Son has baseball every day this week except Thursday, so that will probably be my next session.

2019-03-29 Session 30

Fucked around with multi-grip bar bench press with light weight sets of 10. Shoulder still hurt a bit.

Fucked around with belt squat sets of 10 up to a couple sets with 4 plates. Feeling better.

Son got told he can't play baseball for now due to his atrial flutter. He hit the ball well on opening day with the JV team. He would probably pitch some on varsity if his doctor hadn't already said he couldn't. Instead of making the schedule easier it makes it harder. He was just playing JV, but now is charting pitches for the varsity team and will still go to JV games if there is no varsity game. He is only 15, so I have to drive him. 2nd surgery now scheduled for April 18th. I just hope I can force myself to do something for a while. I will be massively detrained as it is.

2019-04-01 Session 31

Belt Squat 180x10x3, 205x8x1
OHP with multigrip bar 105x5x6, 105x6x2
LM Rows 45x10, 55x10, 65x10, 70x10, 75x10, 80x10
DB Curls 30x7x4

Shoulder felt good before lifting and during warmups, but started to hurt a bit a working weight. It is uncomfortable more than it hurts.

2019-04-13 Session 32

Bench with multigrip bar sets of 7 at 60, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 120
TBDL 225x7x5
DB Curls 30sx7x5
LM Rows sets of 10 at 45, 65, 75, 85, 95, 95

It has been close to 2 weeks since I did anything. Head not in the game at all right now due to son's health and my shoulder. Son's surgery got pushed back a week. Shoulder felt OK during these light bench presses, but I can feel it now a bit. Using my right hand to put on my seat belt hurts. Golf hurt some last week. But I think it is getting betterish. I just need to keep doing something.
