filippo's sexy log of light weights

#1

Post by filippo » Mon Oct 01, 2018 7:43 am

Background:

Started lifting end of February this year (7mos), did my own butchered LP til end of July (5mos), been doing my own RTS-inspired programming since then for the past 2 mos. As you can probably tell, I only follow programs that I set up for myself because 1.) im arrogant 2.) i notice i cant follow programs without changing them so might as well do my own stuff

Stats:
5'9.5/177cm, 165lbs/75kg, 19yo
E1RMs (all estimated from heavy singles @8 i did last block which was around 2wks ago)
Squat: 275lbs
Bench: 195lbs
Deadlift: 285lbs

right now im starting my 2nd block of my self-made butchered RTS ES work.
my goal is to beat national records in my country eventually (im serious)
any comments/tips/questions greatly appreciated

10/1/2018 Block 2W1D1

Squats:
210 x 6 @ 7
210 x 6 @ 7
215 x 6 @ 8
215 x 6 @ 8.5
205 x 6 @ 8

Bench
135 x 6 @ 6
140 x 6 @ 7
145 x 6 @ 7
145 x 6 @ 7
145 x 6 @ 8

303 Bench
95 x 8 @ 6
105 x 8 @ 7
110 x 8 @ 8
110 x 8 @ 8
110 x 8 @ 9

Squats felt heavier than expected, which probably makes sense since i just came off a deload, no big deal.
Bench was alright although my form seems weird as can be seen here (elbows flaring out, losing tightness, and all that)

First time doing 303 tempo bench and goddamn they are hard... tried so hard to hold my breath for 6 seconds each rep

okay ive been too lazy to log. basically that second block killed me so i ended it early, took a pivot and am now on a new block which i designed myself again. lets get it.

10/29/2018 Block3W1D1

Comp Squat
225 x 5 @7
235 x 5 @8
245 x 5 @9
235 x 5 @9

Comp Bench
155 x 5 @7.5
165 x 5 @8.5
165 x 5 @9
155 x 5 @9
155 x 5 @9.5

first time benching with a belt and boy did it feel weird as hell. not sure if ill keep using a belt with bench

2ct Pause Bench
125 x 5 @7
135 x 5@8.5
135 x 5@9
135 x 4@10 (failed last rep)
115 x 5@9

was too tired from overshooting comp bench so i think it made these even harder than it shoudlve been. couldnt get into a proper position with all my sets too which sucked but its day one and we getting it.
