12/30
Sumo deadlift: 3x5x225
OHP: 3x8x45
Lat Low Row: 20x20, 20x40, 20x60
DB Row: 10xdb
Lateral raise: 2x10x2.5
Front raise: 2x10x2.5
Hamstring Curls: 20x25, 20x30

Total BS day. Back pop over the weekend that was annoying (light deadlift felt good today, so can move back up on that fast), shoulders are both hurting for some reason, and left knee developed AIDS. A stomach bug (which might also explain some of the achy stuff) plus having to pound all the ice out of a frozen gutter so my house wouldn't flood at 12am did nothing to help. Holidays have pretty much f'ed my schedule anyway, so not that big of a deal. Thought about just skipping, but have had 1 lifting day in the last 9 or something.

12/31
Sumo Deadlift: 5x135, 5x225, 3x1x315
Lat low row: 20x60, x20x80
SSB Good Mornings
Hamstring curls: 2x20x30
Lateral Raise: 10x2.5
Front Raise: 10x2.5

Deadlift feeling good. Shoulders still feel like butt, but maybe not as bad as yesterday. Tried empty bar good mornings, really trying to hit hammies and stay tight. Not going very deep. Never tried them, feels like they could either be pop-city or help with the back tweaks.

1/5
Sumo deadlift: 455, F x 515
3x3x405
OHP: 4x8x55
Incline DB Press: 5x10x10
Hamstring curls: 20x40
Lat pulldown: 2x15x100
Lat low row: 2x15x100

Bah. 455 felt good, thought I'd jump for a 10# sumo PR, wasn't getting to the knees on 3 attempts. Always feels weird setting up with straps on the heavier attempts since I breathe in a different position. Should do more lower intensity work with them on.

Shoulders felt better today. Something is working.

F, a month between logs. Hurt right biceps a few weeks ago, maybe from sumo with too narrow of a grip? Felt a "pull" in the muscle while locking at the top. Never really expected it from double overhand with straps, but it's been pissy since. Fortunately seems to be a more minor thing rather than a tendon pop, and starting to get better. First week I couldn't get 135 off the floor double overhand without it getting mad, now I'm up to 250 and hopefully going over 300 in the next few weeks.

Since I'm rehabbing, I am working up to a single with double overhand, then switching over to "hands free" deadlift with straps like others have done with full tendon tear injuries. Did 305x5 yesterday and it felt fairly horrible. Like, the weight's not that heavy but getting into position and just the general feel is different than a regular deadlift, probably because I'm letting the bar drift out in front a few inches on the way up. Lots of quads.

Highlight of my month is probably going to be my new chalk bowl:
