BIO

GOALS
- Short term(2019- mid-2020): Get back to pre-injury strength level and stay healthy.
- Medium term(second half 2020-2021): Find a meet and compete, ideally a state level meet so I can post a total towards qualifying for GPC &or APU Nats, but this is in no way a priority.
- Long Term(2021- 2025): Compete for Australia at IPF Worlds, ideally in the open but realistically it'll be Masters
CURRENT PROGRAM
- I got myself a coach as I'm coming back into doing all 3 lifts I wanted someone experienced so as to minimize chance of re-injury.
- I wanted someone that's comfortable in Eastern European approach, namely Russian.

WORK | SET | | REPS | WEIGHT | |

Band Pull-Apart | 3 | x | 30 | black-medium | |
| | | | SESSION VOLUME | 22873 |
-----------------------
NOTES -since I think most people here work in Murica units, I'll use pounds. For the rest of the world, divide by 2 and minus 10%
I did this session last night around 8:30pm, I usually train in the evening because of family and work. It suits me well though, I'm an owl.
- 9pm and it's hotter thana sheep shearer's armpit.
- This is the 4th week since introducing the new warm-up, have changed hand position/implements
- Rope pushdown > V-bar, close grip
- Lat pulldown bar > Bent Lat bar, neutral grip
- Incline Bench, natural grip > Flat bench, natural grip
- Warm-up is still impacting work sets but it's starting to fall off now and I'm not feeling as tired going into the work sets.
- Completed the warm-up in 13.5mins
- Work sets completed in just under 45mins
- Really feeling the caloric restriction, just a deep seated lethargy, 2 more months and I can stop...

You mean you'll stop competing while you get heavier? I wouldn't, just compete without the stress of placing to get meet experience under your belt.

Oh, not long now. How are you tracking with your TOTAL, good enough to go straight in or do you still need a little work?

You could so kg. I just use the "x 2.2" method to get close enough.
Also, no sumo h8 here

I'm sure I'll fall back into just using kilos after a while. I was hoping, and actually searched, for a chrome plugin that might recognize and automatically add a kg/lbs conversion in the post, but no such luck.

not 100% sure, but a mate of mine has a smaller total than me at a heavier BW and he qualified so I figured the bar is low. I'm not far from getting my total over 600 which should be enough

Or just post in kilos. Lots of people here are fluent enough in both. Also, I object to that analogy for conventional.

You know, I log in kilos for the main lifts, but my main dumbbells are in lbs so db lifts get both units. I never thought of getting a plugin to do it but you could probably do it with a Chrome bookmarklet I reckon. It's just a bit of javascript from memory.
Will have a play with it later if I get time, I could use it as well.

No, I just meant I will probably never again compete at under 74kg because by the time I do compete again I expect to weigh more than that and probably won't ever drop under it again, if things go to plan this year.

@Shane thanks mate.
@BenM got it, yeah that makes sense. At your height the most competitive guys are north of 100kg. If you figure out the kg/lb plugin let me know, I'd be keen.
@simonrest is that total for nationals or Masters Worlds?
@chromoly tell me why you object to the conventional analogy

I wouldn't call conventional deadlifts savage. Badass, certainly! I don't feel like a savage when I do them though
My other objection to the analogy, well... we can leave the discussion about the confederate flag for shitposting.
I've tried to pull sumo a few times, and I cannot get the technique down. I certainly wish I could though!

there's no grading for masters, either national or worlds. Open you need elite II, so I'm currently 140kg off

@Sumo do you create the tables by copy pasting from Excel using our
tool? If that's the case, I'd add a column and do the conversion in Excel.
