I dunno. Sounds like you'd even let him be your husband.Nikipedia wrote: ↑Thu Oct 04, 2018 8:54 am I once heard a guy go “Now I’m gay” after a song and Jon responded “I have that effect on women”. Instant fan. Some years later, I bought him a beer during a gig, were he pulled up with a trash bag for his left car window. Instanter faner. We chatted and hugged after. People kept pointing at me that night, whispering that I was his wife. Instantest fanest. I told him later and we cracked up. I mean, he can be my wife, if he wants to be!
This so blazin' hot. So...conflicted. But muh hwhayte supremacy.

Shawn Lane was the greatest. Died in 2003 at 41. He looks like he took Rip's diet advice, but he suffered from RA and some other ailments.
Also John McLaughlin
It's also clear from the links that Billy Cobham and Jeff Sipe (Apt. Q258) are the best drummers ever.

Nice ones. When it comes to guitar wanking fusion gets me going way more than blues. Al DiMeola's acoustic solo here is the stuff of legends:
And Henry Kaiser, eh? So you want to get weird. Then we'll have to go to Derek Bailey too:
Also, can you do this with 2 fingers?

As far as straight up natural talent, I give the nod to Tommy Emmanuel:

And I also want to add Eric Clapton. Not sure if anyone mentioned him yet. Some tasty licks on this throwback classic, I think I hear a pentatonic scale, and whoever programmed the drum machine killed it.

Re: Dissenting SSCs
This is reminding me why I can't really listen to blues (well the post 60s revival kind). Most artists just repeat the same 3 or 4 song frameworks and Stevie has done them better than anyone. There's really no comparison. His intensity and tone are just over the top. If there's anyone that can make me forget I'm listening to the same songs it's him. I think I have (or had) that DVD somewhere. Every time I pass by the El Mocambo that's what I think about.jwilson625 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 5:57 am SRV is my personal favorite guitarist though (don't @ me bro):
There are a few decent songs on each and I just refreshed my memory by listening to at least a little bit of all of them. My favourite one will always be War.
You are not a careful observer.
Now that I think about it some more I think I have to change my vote to this goy. It's the notes he isn't playing. A mere 24 years old in this video. I don't know where the hell he is now. Wandering in the desert for all I know.

Such an amazing talent that was taken far too soon.
