RPE Request

#1

Post by AaronB » Thu Mar 07, 2019 11:15 am

I've gotten reasonably adept at RPE for my squat. Maybe because I like squatting and I'm a much better squatter...likely it's just because I squat with higher frequency and get more practice.

Anywho...training has been going well, taking a deload this week and hitting some singles at 8 RPE. Looking for feedback. I jumped from 405 to 455 because 405 moved easy, could have pulled it for 5. I would call this an 8, but might like another pair of eyes (or 4) to agree.

yeah, based on your 460#PR from april'18 .... I'd say a solid 9.

Deadlifts are weird RPE-wise IMO.

I'd say 8-8.5

If you didn't lose back position so much at the start I'd say an 8. But you did...so I agree with @mbasic
