Has anyone here taken the Precision Nutrition PN-1 course?
Is it worth the cost?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Re: Question for trainers out there.
What it's worth depends what you already know and are willing to find out on your own. Compared to a lifting course, it's much, much more book knowledge, by which I mean that, good as it is, there are many books you can get it from. There's some stuff about people but it's mostly framing and mindset stuff, which if you're working as a trainer for a while you should have a decent handle on already.

Re: Question for trainers out there.
Kyle,
Pretty much what I figured. I do have a solid nutrition base knowledge, and stay in my lane with it. I was just curious as someone I know had mentioned it. I looked them up, but there really was not a bunch of info on wheat exactly they teach. Moreover, it seems the only"reviews" are limited to fan-boy-fom.
Thanks for responding. Next time I'll just PM you. I feel I get good info here.
Thanks.

If I was going to do a nutrition course I'd also consider Mac Nutrition Uni.

Re: Question for trainers out there.
I would imagine there are really two parts to this question, no?
1) What is the quality of the training material, knowledge derived, etc?
2) What is the marketability of PN-1?
I'm not a trainer so I can't answer either question, but struggle with this with this general duality of professional certifications and courses within my industry.

1. it's good.
2. meh.
But this second applies for most fitness or nutrition certifications, simply because there are so many. There's more money in certifications for trainers than there is in actually training people.
