Thanks, everyone!

I bruised the living fuck out of my quads hitting them psyching up for 3rd squat and dl.

Ammonia, it's a hell of a drug.

I bought some nose tork a couple of weeks ago but haven't had occasion to use it yet. Now I am absolutely intrigued. . .

I got used to it in training, gradually getting to where i took more in.
I didn't use it on openers for squat and DL in training or at the meet, and wasn't using it for bench in training except or a few times.

I think the thing it does for me, is gets me out of my head.
That could be what they mean by it lowering inhibition.

At the meet i was huffing it so deep my throat burned. Nose right down in the bottle.
I was having trouble with my bench in training, and wasn't completely unfamiliar with the ammonia for bench, so on my third i used it, knowing from training i needed to not let it disturb my routine.

I got the nose tork, and by next meet spring 2020, i may consider getting some of the heavy duty stuff from Jujimufu.

I mean, maybe. The nose tork seems pretty potent as is.

How do you get your pellets at this time of year?
Nobody around me has any out of season. I actually got caught out last year when I ran out in early March and all the local suppliers had already stopped stocking them.
I'm assuming you do it now because its cheaper, is it a significant difference?

Wood pellet warehouse out of Jay Maine.
Summer pricing is always better.
They deliver all over Maine, and to some of MA. and NH.

Price was a little higher than i've paid before, but they no longer charge delivery, so it's a wash, or even better depending on the year compared to.
I get Maine Woods Pellets hardwood/softwood blend, and they were $239 per ton this year.
But i've paid $219, $229 and maybe even $209 one year. Not sure about the $209. Been burning pellets since winter 2011/12
The years that they were charging delivery, it was $75 flat rate to my location.

They (MWP) have had a hard time getting enough hardwood this year, so there is a lot more softwood in them this time.
Should burn even hotter. They are much darker this year.
WPW carries stuff like Lacrete too, but they are a lot more expensive, and not as cost effective for me.

It's a big operation, and they always have off season stock.
I don't pay a lot of attention to the winter prices.

Thursday June 20th 2019 ~ MM C1 W1 D1 ~ HRLF bench inserted. 50% volume, reduced e1RMs
REPS X SETS

LBBS
225 X5
262.5 5X3

T&G Bench
155 7X5

Notes-
Shit's heavy, yo.
1.5 weeks off, and 1,400 calorie daily deficit for that same time.
Bench wasn't actually heavy. It was just getting back in the habit of folding myself up into position that was the hurdle.
First two sets of squats actually felt quite heavy.
I'm back in the saddle now though, come what may.
I'll repeat this day on Saturday, which is my actual Day 1 now.
I'll do a week of half volume, then move it up.

Satuday June 22th 2019 ~ MM Cycle *1a W1 D1 ~ HRLF bench inserted. *50% volume, reduced e1RMs
REPS X SETS

LBBS
225 X5
262.5 5X3 ~ Felt much better than the first day back. Could easily have done more, but sticking to plan.

Bench ~ HRLF T&G
155 7X5 + 8X1 ~ bumped this up a set to start getting ready for the full 11 sets that are coming.

I'm focusing on bringing my touchpoint up to have the bar directly at the start of my xyphoid process, and keeping elbows moderately tucked.
This has my elbows pretty well in front of the bar at the bottom, but makes getting a good bar path almost automatic.
These are the first T&G reps in quite a while, and i'm working on not letting the bar drift down as it does in the last couple reps here.
For paused singles to triples, this should be easy, as that touch spot is so well defined and the feel feedback makes it easy to hit accurately.
For me, so far, trying to get elbows directly under the bar is a losing proposition, as i have never really been able to press back that first inch or two. Always up, then back, no matter how i try.

3X4 and 4X3 squats on wee 2 H day/Saturday will tell the tale more.
Power day is light squat volume.
Week 1 H day is 5X6 (repsXsets) lower %, but more reps per set. And i started wk 1 with half volume there.
I think i'll manage just fine. I'll just wait till after the cut to bring 1RMs up to set the weight.

I do seem to be doing ok in a drastic deficit.
I just have my "meal"/shake an hour before lifting now, since my morning coffee is absent the usual MCT oil.

I really should try lifting, and not being such a keyboard warrior.

Thursday June 27th 2019 ~ MM C1 W1 D3 w/ HRLF bench. Reduced 1RMs during cut
REPS X SETS

LBBS
300 3X5

Bench ~ Paused ~ 85% day
Since these are paused, it's not really much off of 1RM from June 9th meet
I'm using 229 which is reduced 1RM for T&G days, and my third at meet was 231.

All doubles, because ain't nobody got time for singles.
195 2X8

SGDL
225 5X4
