Throwing shoes?
I wonder, has anyone tired lifting in throwing shoes? I think Cody likes them. Anyone else? I recently handled a pair, and they're way more solid than I thought they would be.
Might grab a pair. Any recommendations? Last I recall Asics were good. Anyone tried their latest shoe? What about Nike Adidas etc.?

Cody, Kong, pretty sure Karl wore them for a bit.
I deadlift in the hyperthrows. I can squat in them but I like a heel.

Les wore them too.
Yeah, they're pretty decent. I do wish they had a little wider sole. The sole has rounded edges, so I find it a little less forgiving than something like a weightlifting shoe with the heel removed. Also, these aren't perfectly 0 drop.
If you can get them for, say $40 or less, they're a really solid shoe. If you have more cash on hand though, I would get some power lifts and have a cobbler take the heel off.

I've got some cut down powerlifts. You can bend the sole pretty easily without the foam in them when they're cut down. Honestly, handling the throwing shoes they seemed a lot more solid. But I've not lifted in them so we'll see. Has anyone tried the Nike throwing shoes?

$120.00 WOW...that got expensive quickly. When I got my Hyperthrow 3's they were $35.00. They are great. I've been lifting in them for over a year now and they are pretty much good as new.

Except now I think they are discontinued. As Cody says, they aren't truly zero drop but they feel pretty dang flat.

I have the Hyper Throw 2's. I love them for squatting, since they have a pretty sturdy sole and metatarsal strap.

I think all the Nike ones are high tops, if that said you one way or the other.
Down here we are on limited choice, but I think last time I went into a rebel sport they had a couple of pairs. You could try some on and see what you think
