Also, though I'm not sure how much of a difference this makes to bodyweight, I would expect an actor who works out for professional reasons to be very top-heavy.

Does he? That's probably in the 405 plus range. And yes he is dropping the weight which is annoying. But you are right: probably focuses more on upper body than any of us do.

Had not considered if he is probably around 5-7% bodyfat when shooting films. That would put him in the 190-200 range from a healthier 15%-20% bodyfat.

Read that he stayed at 5-7% bodyfat the entire BvS shoot of 150 days. Motherfucker that is tough. And studio threatened to drug test him. Couldn't have Superman roiding.

Okay Google-Fu gave me this: To promote the film, Cavill and his trainer Mark Twight revealed to Muscle and Fitness that he maxed a deadlift at 435 pounds, a back squat at 365 pounds, and ten sets of ten front squats at 225 pounds.

Probably only does a bunch of high set, high rep stuff at a high intensity. Which I hate. I wouldn't do 10x10 front squat at 225.

My son is 14. ~5'9" ~127#.
We have been doing some lifting since 11 y.o.
He's totally weak. But runs track, playfootball, sprints, etc all the time .... so lean AF. (has faint.semi sixpack)
He fucks around and jokes by flexing "how jacked he is".... (he doesn't have an ego, he does this kinda making light of the whole thing)

His noodle arms seems grow twice their size tho....

The suit defineitly has padding for contouring. Suit material is thick and overall the suit is very tight. Muscle would not show through. I don't think it has that much padding to create bulk. Probably certain areas (shoulders, chest and abs).

Look at the Shazam guy and the costume he wears. He moves like he is in a padded suit. Cavill doesn't.

Definitely trains upper body biased, but because Twight is his trainer and he's into it outside of filming season I think he's not as legs+ass lacking as Chris Evans is, for example.

For sure. I just am not going to throw him into the skips leg days group. He achieved the look he was training for (and got paid millions of dollars for).

He only got 'big' when he was cast in the Superman role. Before that I think he was a bodyweight/runner person. He was significantly smaller in size in Immortals and the Tudors. I became a fan of his watching the Tudors.

A LOT of guys in the various gyms I have lifted at are bigger in size and more jacked than me. They lift half as much. Genetics is a big factor in muscle shape. Take Arnold's chest for example. But I can't really complain about muscle shape as I walk around at 15% or greater bodyfat. Someday I will get to 10%...THEN I will complain.

Fundamentally, for 6'1" tall, I think he is in the 210 to 220 range at a normal, every day (15%) bodyfat.
