In that case it's based on the keyword, and is actually for a different substance, one they don't even sell.
Bulk supplements is the only site i've seen this on.
**Also, i am not seeing it on the creatine.
Just checked and it no longer happens on glycine for me either.

Walmart house brand (made in China) is only $9.86/pound. Caveat emptor!

Re: Creatine
This is what i could find on the Bulksupplements one.
So this is what that cGMP is
https://www.fda.gov/drugs/pharmaceutica ... 0to%20have.
No Creapure label like they talk about here
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthre ... =172002743
The stuff i have on hand from MyProtein has no labels like that, and nothing onsite.
I might die.

Re: Creatine
A lot of companies post the warning just in case. Any one can sue them if they don't some companies just post the notice.
"Manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who fail to provide such a warning are at risk for enforcement lawsuits from California’s Attorney General or the public at large, which place the burden of proof on the defendant business to demonstrate compliance. Substantial fees, as high as $2,500 per violation per day, can be incurred."
California Announces Revised Proposition 65 Labeling & Marketing Regulations
Some group tried to sue Starbucks and other coffee sellers claiming that coffee had acrylamide in it (it does as do many other foods) and that they had neglected to post Propositon 65 warnings. They fought back and got a court ruling in their favor.
No cancer warnings required on coffee sold in California after all

Oh, I ordered a big bag anyways, .0001% improvement in workouts > lead poisoning
I basically ignore any "the state of California requires us to tell you" warnings.

Re: Creatine
My local grocery store is still selling tubs of Cellucor creatine monohydrate for in the supplements aisle for $15/13oz tub ($18.50/lb). Its almost always sold out for the last several months, but I caught it once right after a restock and scooped up a bunch. Might be worth keeping an eye out at the grocery.

Re: Bulk Supplements brand Creatine
It rates "Approved" on ConsumerLab and it used to rate well on Labdoor when they still rated it. Both are independent labs that actually test the products. (Though Labdoor's testing has been called into question by some, lately.)

Re: Creatine
If you are concerned with quality/purity you should look for the "Creapure" label. Now it might be more expensive but at least there's a certain degree of control. It's not completely absurd to be concerned with purity since I believe 50% of creatine products were found to be contaminated by undesirable residues such as creatinine. Article here https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 4610016377
Now how much should you be concerned with quality vs just price I don't know, I'm not a doctor or a chemist.
I used to buy Creapure when I took supplements (I stopped taking supplements because they had 0 effect on me so I just focused on eating good food and it was fine).
