Post op with surgeon yesterday. He said it looks like it's healing fine it'll just take a long time to heal because it's such a large area, all the way down on my shin and I'm extra fat. Maybe by the time it heals ill have a my bench back to where it was and I can start on my squat. Again.

Took the last of my antibiotics this morning. Seeing the infectious disease doctor Monday to see if I need to stay on them.
Slept in yesterday so sessions are shuffled.

Fun Fact. When your skin starts to grow back in a big enough patch it gets incredibly itchy.

If you ever want to get a huge bump to your TDEE flay the skin from your leg. You don't even have to exercise half as much. I'm at about 5100 now and barely moving.

Turns out I was allergic to one of my antibiotics. At first it just made my mouth sensitive (everything was spicy) but that faded and I broke out in hives. Its been a week since I ran out and all the redness is gone but now the top layer of skin on my entire body is peeling.

Bumped my training max up 10 lbs. Was kind of worried when the 205 sets were hard but last week's Close Grip AMRAP E1RM was 231 and this week's is 244 so that's fine. I was using short rests so that probably played into it.

Haha yeah next time I'll just start going for morning walks for a boost.
New thing to bitch about: sterile 4" rolled gauze is $9 a box in Walgreens but $4 on the website. I know not stocking it saves money but damn. On the up side I now have a giant order of gauze coming.

The press will get there, that is easily th most finicky lift. I think high barometric pressure can cause a miss on that, lol. Medical supplies are weird. A box of alcohol swabs is $1.99 in the store at Walmart (And roughly the same at Target I believe). It was $6.99 on Amazon for the same box last time I looked. I want a bath. I haven't taken a actual shower in a month because I'm sure the minute I get in the shower with a trash bag taped to my leg I'll rip it off on accident and get water in The Hole. Rag and a bucket works but I'm not a horse it's just not the same. When the skin comes back I'm going to just soak in near boiling water for two hours.

Going to switch it up a bit. Still going to try running out squats at 3*5 but I'm going to move them to tue/Fri as an upper lower instead of bothering with any program I'm going to use Nuckols' linear periodization for both bench and press twice a week. Basically take 70% of your last 1rm and send it for three descending sets trying to keep the firsts set's e1rm at or over the starting 1rm, add weight and do it again next session.
