@Wilhelm Combination of stress and Creatine lol. The plan is to cut calories again in the New Year. Not looking forward to it.

-so far so good. No lactic acid buildup, recovering better now I think, and weight gain has stopped albeit because I lowered cals. It must have been cortisol/stress related.
-my usual scale was giving wildly different readings (like 206-210 within mins of re-weighing so I swapped it for my bio impedance scale. This newer one usually reads higher than the other scale but at least it’s consistent.

Re: GainzZz For Valhalla
BW: 210.3 lbs (2650 cals maintenance?)
Newest singles:
Squat: 395@8 (E1RM = 425)
Bench: 260@8 (E1RM = 280)
Press: 160@8.5 (E1RM = 170)
Deadlift: testing Friday (3 weeks ago E1RM = 435)
Progress has been super slow. Still training though. Life is high stress so I’m sure that factors in. Maxes are all up. Last time I maxed out at a 405 squat, a 260 bench, and failed a 160 press so at least things are improving now.
I ended a 3 week deficit because nothing was budging so I need to find my new maintenance. Guessing it’s around 2700. Been regularly taking Creatine for 2 mths and notice an improvement in exercise tolerance. I’m guessing my T levels have crashed but my doc doesn’t gaf. Hoping more weight loss and stress reduction will help naturally.
@JohnHelton Thanks for checking in. I rarely ever miss training. Just haven’t been motivated to log lately.

Re: GainzZz For Valhalla
Glad to see the e1RMs are up. Keep slugging. The weight loss stuff is a pain in the ass. Lower T levels don't make it easier. Do they have hormone clinics in Alberta? If so, it might be worth the investment.

-Deadlift E1RM now at 450. That’s another increase. Nowhere near where I was at before but at least it’s going up, albeit slowly.
@JohnHelton There is but they are expensive and my doc told me my SHBG ratio was sufficient, despite very low serum levels of test, so now I’m just confused what to do. I don’t want to take trt unless I really need it. We’ll see.

Well, your hormonal situation is obviously good enough to produce babies. Re: GainzZz For Valhalla
Avg BW: 209.8 lbs (maintenance 2650 cals)
This week all Beltless singles:
Squat: 365 @7
Bench: 245 @6.5
Press: 145 @6.5
Deadlift: 385 @6 DOH
*Strength definitely still improving albeit slowly. I don’t really care though as long as I’m not losing my gainz anymore. I’ve lost the drive to push things. Tbh my bench never came back after that bad pec strain/tear either. Can’t believe I paused benched 340 before that injury.

Re: GainzZz For Valhalla
@JohnHelton I went back to my old programming 3 mths ago. Same programming I had the most success on. My body won’t tolerate more than 3x per week anymore. In my 20’s I would train 6x per week on top of a physical job. Things have changed lol.
