This felt like it was heavier than it really was,
probably because my attention was more on my ankle than on squatting.

Despite the fact that it's become a meme at this point, I think 3x5 is quality work and good for progressing. I agree with Rippetoe that 5x5 becomes too much, quickly.

I don't really know, to be honest. It just happened. Usually I would prefer 5 sets of 3.

I haven't done these in a long time,
