I did not see, but looking at the results chart it would appear Damaron bombed in the snatch, and only did a 196 CJ?

Hadn't seen that. Since they were 12th and 13th going into the World Cup, I guess they won't make the Olympics.

I just saw in the published results .... Damaron had no numbers for snatch, and only one clean and jerk result.
So I assume thats a bomb

It might have just been a case of having to open very heavy (too heavy) in order to have a shot at moving into the top ten.

Lots of Coaches were shooting their athletes in the foot with that strategy...didn't work well for most of 'em, but that's the game I guess

Turns out I was wrong.

Kitts's final ranking was 14, but he still made the Olympics.

So the US team is Jourdan Delacruz (49 kg), Olivia Reeves (71 kg), Mary Theisen-Lappen (+81 kg), Hampton Morris (61 kg), and Wes Kitts (102 kg).

Amazing performance. Especially her 117 snatch. Nearly walked off the back of the platform saving the lift.
