The quote below stuck out at me

"Coach Carter told me that while I would become better at lifting on my own, I would continue to need coaching and programming from an SSC indefinitely."

To go back to y'alls side, that 315/mo likely isn't static; it'll move along with inflation. If you add a 2 or 3 percent yearly increase, the NPV will be quite a bit higher than 56,655Culican wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 8:55 am "I know that I need to go to a SS gym for the rest of my life. I will not carry on training on my own – I know myself too well."
Let's see, 56yo male in Texas could purchase a single premium immediate annuity that would pay $315/mo for the rest of his life for $56,655. That's one way to calculate the cost of what SS has talked him into.
To be fair (I think he said this in the article/interview ...but I'm not going back to read that POS writeup), he just lifts there now. He may not be paying for the scheduled slot time and full blown coaching. He's probably only paying $275 a month now.SaviorSelf wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 7:52 pmTo go back to y'alls side, that 315/mo likely isn't static; it'll move along with inflation.
