Making cottage cheese edible
The price is right on cottage cheese, per gram of protein, but unfortunately I find it tough to choke down. I've found one recipe that masks the taste: protein pancakes.
1 cup low fat cottage cheese.
1/2 cup of oats
4 eggs
Put it all in the blender, blend it, then use it like normal pancake batter. It definitely doesn't taste like a nice buttermilk pancake, but it's not bad either.
Here are the macros:
Protein 61g
Carbs 36g
Fat 27.5g
Does anyone else have a good way to mask the taste of cottage cheese?

My girlfriend mixes it with mustard and turkey sausage.

Re: Making cottage cheese edible
My go to for cottage cheese topping used to be either a spoonful of jam/preserves or honey but the last time I bought some I went with tuna and hot sauce. It's better than it has any right to be.
Also if I forget lunch and I feel sufficiently lazy I'll stop at Publix and grab a tub of low fat pineapple cottage cheese. 440 cal and 41g protein.

Re: Making cottage cheese edible
My wife is always making "protein ice cream" using cottage cheese as a base. It tastes like cottage cheese, PB2, and artificial sweetener and I don't know how she can eat it and pretend it tastes good.
Though I've always loved unadulterated cottage cheese and often eat it on buttered toast.

I can tolerate straight cottage cheese just fine.
Having said that, I’ve added some heat via whatever hot sauce to it and that seems to work nicely.

Simple fruit topping works for me. Blueberries, strawberries, banana, prunes, etc.

Like Hanley, this would never have occurred to me, but I had it for lunch today and it was excellent. I did about half tuna, half cottage cheese, and doused it all in sriracha sauce. There was no noticeable cottage cheese taste.
