It’s very weird to be honest. Catalyst Athletics almost a decade ago did the complete opposite, by making all of their free content and spreadsheets private and paywalled to make money, and SBS goes the other way around. Maybe a terms of settlement for something I suppose or a change in focus?

Greg states in his post that he’s made enough money off the stuff and it’s a bit dated now. I’m getting the vibes that he’s got a real job and just doesn’t care about chasing that little bit of revenue and the issues it creates.

I had long only been listening to the pod b/c they were entertaining.

The content i consume these days for actual lifting information, is the occasional Table Talk if someone is on who i want to listen to talk.
Some nuggets of lifting gold will drop from time to time.

I'm curious what the deal was though. Greg in particular seems to have lost his mojo since. SBS podcast used to be awesome and has consistently sucked since in all it's host-cohost iterations.
My speculation is it's over money and ownership of Macrofactor and that Trexler was forced out of any ownership/revenue and that the experience soured them both.

From what I understand Greg never wanted to do the podcast which is where the temporary guest host joke came from and Trexler got an opportunity to do research at Duke.

Greg also killed his online presence around the same time. He made a big post either on reddit or insta about spending entirely too much time everyday reading and replying to every social media and forum and how it was fucking with him.
