I'm aware this might defeat the purpose of autopilot, but is there a way to further control what lifts will be done per session? E.g. I had 2x deadlift sessions in a row, then I have a week's reprieve from pulling to do only squats (though I will swap the hip thrusts for deadlifts); would rather alternate squatting with pulling, or maybe go squat-pull-squat (for 3x days/week, and also limiting to only one main programmed squat or pull per session).Hanley wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 8:21 am No. I should write one up. More generally I need to build some instructions and demo videos, etc, to walk users through some of the features of the app.
You can send your questions and suggestions here for now.

Re: A Collection of Programming Tools
I'll take a look. That might happen occasionally (like high bar primary on Mon followed by tempo squats as a tertiary on Wed with bench as the session's primary or something) but it shouldn't be the norm. I could add a "main lift" swap.Shaun wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 2:51 pmI'm aware this might defeat the purpose of autopilot, but is there a way to further control what lifts will be done per session? This is finally unfucked. I've been aware of the load compression for a few months and didn't deep dive until today. (literally took all day to resolve) The new general rule: top set of 1-5 reps @ RPE 8-9 followed by drop sets with 5-10% load reduction. The engine was just being too conservative.Hanley wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 8:21 amYeah. This is silly. I'll fix it.Shaun wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 2:27 am Not specifically related to autopilot, but the "top set + back-off" scheme results in top sets that are only fractionally heavier than the back-off sets (2.5kg, which is the lowest I can round to), and lower in reps - this results in them being easier than the back-off sets in terms of RPE.
E.g. top set on squats: 132.5kg x 2. Back-off sets: 130kg x 3.

An option to "swap" main lifts would definitely be very useful in giving the user just a bit more control over their sessions.Hanley wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2026 3:49 pmI'll take a look. Might still tweak the workflow a little, but you can definitely swap main lifts now.

Yeah. It's a great addition. I love the combo of flexibility and simplicity in Autopilot.
It's what I've been using for my own programming

Yeah, I think the swap feature is an excellent addition to autopilot. Would you consider adding in an "add lift" feature, to go alongside the remove feature? I accidentally removed a tertiary lift and would be handy to add it back in.
Also, in the alternative options for deadlifts, I can't see deficit deadlifts? They are in the app because I did them on Saturday.

Update: I implemented the "Add Main Lift" feature and deficit deads should show up in the swap list now.

Re: A Collection of Programming Tools
Are AMRAPs meant to appear in hypertrophy schemes/days?

They do in my plan all over the place, mainly for OHP, which is fun, and deadlifts, which is not.

Found a bug when adjusting my readiness score. Wouldn’t let me regenerate today’s session - got this error every time I clicked rebuild.

Sounds like the e1RM engine is behaving in ways I didn't intend.(It's supposed to call for an AMRAP at phase boundaries....definitely not frequently).
Or....it could be a density block schema. Which you can just swap out if you'd prefer a different session format

Well, shit. Okay. I'll dig into this today.
###
I definitely jacked some stuff up in the app when I built the "train when ready" scheduler.
Getting some help from Ryaan unfucking that

Should be fixed. This was a really weird edge-case that hasn't popped up yet in months of testing. Thank you! Never would have found this.AndrewH wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 6:28 am Found a bug when adjusting my readiness score.
