Nothing wrong with some Silver Bullet Band, I don't know about max effort stuff but normal days I would think it's fine to move things along.

Turn the page is one of my all time go to songs. When I was in high school I would listen to Simon and Garfunkel when I drove in. When I got about a block from school, I'd turn that sh*t off and switch to something alpha hard core. Lol. I still love S&G. I still love Iron Maiden but most of the rest of the hard stuff is no where to be found in my musical memory banks.

9/10

Squat
265 x 5 x 2

Bench
205 x 5 x 3

Curls
65 x 8 x 2
first time doing "arms" in years

*Slept like shit and was gritting my teeth at work all day after finding out yesterday that my youngest, who is still in grade school, was mocked and made fun of at school....by a TEACHER. My son is not very verbal and is on the spectrum so when he does let us know how he feels or tells us about something you can bet he isnt making it up. Turns out he was making repetitive distracting noises in the cafeteria (probably bc he was stressed out and overstimulated and it was loud) and a teacher gave him a "time out" and while he was sitting in time out the male teacher mimicked the noises he was making while another teacher laughed. I was very close to driving to the school and confronting this teacher face to face to ask for his side of the story but every scenario I played out in my head ended in some kind of violence. I am a very nice person and generally avoid confrontation but not when it comes to advocating for my kids. So instead my wife and I are going through the proper channels and invloving his superiors so we will see where it goes. But I am so disapointed in the lack of leadership and accountability at his school.

You’re doing the right thing, because you’re right - any other scenario would have ended in violence. Rightfully so too, but you’d be no use to your family in prison.

That sucks man. I work as a teacher, and despise anyone who feels the need to put down students. You are doing the right thing though, as much as you may have wanted to mash his face into the concrete.

If you change your mind I feel motivated to fly over and go as a wingman. That's pretty shitty behaviour on their part.

@DanCR @houzi @Hardartery Thanks for the words of support gents. The principal ended up taking it very seriously and did a thourough and thoughtful investigation with acceptable responses from those involved. We have a follow up meeting in person soon.

Good to hear your son’s school took the incident seriously. I hope you and your wife get closure on that. That sucks. Good job making sure you went in with a cool head.

So many teachers out there on a power trip. I think it sounds like you handled it well. I’m really sorry to hear your son went through that because that will be something he’ll never forget unfortunately. Glad to hear the principle is taking it seriously!

Oh hell yes. Dropping load and continuing the movement has worked for me in the past when niggles decide to niggle. I hope this is a long term solution. You have a big bench, and it will be fun to watch you push it up again!
