CPU Nationals
I'm probably the only Canadian on this board going to the CPU Nationals in Calgary this February. Looks to be a great meet! Besides the very nice venue, there are 3 workshops per day put on by some well known power lifters such as Kelly Branton, Blain Sumner, and Bryce Krawczyk.

My son and I will both be competing. I'll drive there and stay for a few days since Calgary is my hometown and I still have family there. I'll volunteer for a day or two at the meet as well. My son is in university so he'll fly there the night before and leave the same day of his competition so as not to miss much school.
The IPF Classic worlds will be held in Calgary next June too, possibly at the same venue.

Re: CPU Nationals
Hi Viola,
My son and I are arriving Tuesday, I'm competing Wednesday, and my son is competing Friday. We're leaving Saturday night back to Vancouver but will take a trip to Banff that day to soak in the hot mineral springs there (which I'm really looking forward to!).
What part of the country are you from and which day are you competing? Best of luck in your competition!

I am from Winnipeg. Will be lifting in the M1 women's 84kg class on Tuesday afternoon. Janet IRL. Good luck to you too. When are you lifting - morning or afternoon? I'll be technical controller on Platform 1 in the morning and evening.

Re: CPU Nationals
Ha! yes there are 7 of us. I am a light 84kg (sitting at 76kg) and will be competing for 4th place, I think. The top 3 ladies are 50-100lb stronger than me. But I am planning for PR's all around.
I will keep an eye out for you, but won't be able to cheer. Maybe I'll manage a quick wave after one of your lifts.

Did no one stop to think "Hay guise, maybe we need to come up with a name that lends itself to a less confusing abbreviation. You know, if only to end up close to a top of a google search"?

This is @Skid's session. Starts w/ no sound, but i scanned ahead and it kicks in at some point.
Also lifter name graphics appear later.
@Viola's session.
Starts at end of squats - Can't seem to find one with the whole session : (

How nice of you to post this! I saw some of skid' s lifts and saw him get the silver medal for his age and weight. I went 8for 9 and got PRs on everything except bench, which is the one lift I missed. Still here, will be coaching/handling tomorrow.
