May 10 BW 308.0
May 11 BW 308.0

HPS week 3 strength day

Deadlifts - 2 min rest
415 x 3 x 4

Press - 2 min rest
157.5 x 3 x 5

Front squat - 2 min rest
260 x 3 x 5

Incline bench - 5 min density
140 x 10, 10, 10, 8, 8

Everything seems to be going fine lifting wise. I was definitely guilty of stress eating a bit this week, BW has stagnated. Life may force me to take a week off here coming up. It'll be one whole week in the next month.

May 12 BW 308.2
May 13 BW 310.0
May 14 BW 312.0

HPS week 4 hypertrophy day

SGDL - 2 min rest
340 x 4 x 6 (bad plate math!)

Press - 90 sec rest
140 x 4 x 8

Front Squat
265 x 3 x 5

Incline sit-up 30 sec rest
BW x 10, 7

Thought the snatch grips felt a little heavy, realized as I was writing this that I added 10's instead of 5s, lol oops, so I made a 15 lb jump over last week. Front Squats are getting to like a @8 so I might go light or just skip them Wednesday, I'll see how they feel. Couple sets of sit ups due to time. Lifting good! Life bad!

At one point last week I almost unracked a bench with a 25 on one side instead of a 5. I have no idea what I was thinking. It was a warmup, so it might not have killed me, but it probably wouldn't have been pretty!

Week off = work on diet?

Oh man, I'd much rather overload a DL then a bench, especially a lopsided loading. The poor shoulders!

Ehh, I just need to get shit together diet wise, if I don't lift I'll go crazy right now. Daughter has to have heart surgery, so I'm a tiny bit stressed, ya know? Went full yolo diet this weekend especially with mother's day. So I just need to get my stress managed because regaining weight will only make it worse.

Oh, dang man, best wishes. Take care of yours, the diet and weights don't matter.

For what little is actually worth, I really will be thinking of you guys. Hope everything goes well.

When is surgery scheduled (if you care to share)?

thanks! i know they don't ultimately matter, but the weights help get some tension out

thank you, the thought is appreciated for sure.

it was supposed to be this past monday, but it was postponed due to some cold type symptoms that would make the surgery unnecessarily risky with her being on a vent. so it'll be in the next 4-8 weeks. it's good she's healthy enough that she can wait that long, but fuck the waiting dude, too much time to think! I know these doctors know what they are doing so I'm just along for the ride.

Yeah. It sucks to have to think about that stuff for another several weeks... One of my kids had medical issues, and these delays would always happen. And as the weeks pass, the doctors go back and forth with "well, maybe we shouldn't do the intervention after all." Then something would happen and they'd be all "Oh yeah, we gotta do it."

Super awesome.

Again- Best of luck to you guys.

New tentative date is July 10th, so the wait is begins...

I remember a celebratory IG post about your kid having a feeding tube removed or something (sorry if that's creepy but my memory is like near photographic lol) so I know you have experience with this stuff, so I appreciate you sending good vibes my way. My daughter 100% needs the procedure to correct a defect in her aorta close to her left ventricle. We caught it incidentally when we went to get her eye drops for pink eye of all things, so at the end of the day it's a good thing we caught it before it caused any developmental problems.

thanks again!

May 17 BW 304.2
May 18 BW 303.8 new low!!!

HPS week 4 strength day

Deadlift - 2 min rest
420 x 3 x 4

Press - 2 min rest
160 x 3 x 5

Front Squat - 2 min rest
270 x 3 x 5

Incline Bench - 5 min density
142.5 x 10,10, 8, 7, 8

body weight continues to plummet this week... although it started artificially high due to some serious carb loading sunday, i'm down 8.2 lbs since monday lol.

I'm getting too "thin," lifts were hard today... lol. they all moved quick i believe, they just felt heavy in the hands. front squats were @ 9 tho. but monday will be +50 lbs in a month so i can't complain. Need to find time to do some accessory low back work, keep running out of time.

May 22 BW 302.6
May 23 BW 301.6

HPS week 5 power day

Power Clean - 1 min rest
175 x 2
185 x 2
195 x 2
205 x 1 x 2

Press - 90 sec rest
150 x 2
160 x 2
170 x 2
180 x 1 x 2

light Front Squats - 90 sec rest
225 x 3 x 3

Reverse Grip Pulldowns - 5 min density
155 x 10, 9, 7, 8, 7

Dips - 5 min density
-90 x 10, 10, 10, 8, 7

Everything felt crisp and snappy today except maybe the heavy press singles which were just heavy lol. BW is falling very nicely, can't wait for that 299 on the scale. I have shirtless progress pics I might share just to prove i'm not full of shit. I didn't realize how big of difference there is already but I guess 39 lbs is a good amount of weight lol.

Today's session brought to you by random power outages and infants creating 3 hour sleep nights.

May 24 BW 303.0
May 25 BW 302.6

Deadlift - 2 min rest
425 x 3 x 4

Press - 2 min rest
162.5 x 3 x 5

Front Squat - 2 min rest
280 x 3 x 5

Incline Bench - 5 min density
145 x 10, 10, 9, 8, 7

Hyperextensions - 1 min rest
BW+25 x 10 x 3

fuuuuuck. just did the work today. front squats @9.5. might skip power day next week since i'll probably only make it 2 days.
