I think fishwife would make a good playing partner for bridge or pinochle.

I don't know how to play these games so don't really understand, but I will thank you anyway.

It's a little long. I like a pithy sig.

######################################

So today I had one of those workouts where I was really worried that the fleeting yet repetitive stench I kept perceiving might be from me. I mean, I don't normally smell like foot and ass, and if I do, it's usually from something I remember happening. So I dunno why I always fear it's me when I detect something whiffy.

Anyway, whatever the source, it made me want to not linger in the gym, so I feel like I rushed through everything.

Squat // repeat of the most recent workout before short layoff
45 x 5
70 x 5
95 x 4
120 x 3
130 x 5, 5, 5
This was whatever, and whatever is not something I sneeze at these days.

Good mornings
95 x 10

Left with pump in lower back and butTOCKs.

Music
It was just a NIN kind of day.

You don’t need to know how to play those games per se, just carry on random conversation.

For Wednesday 11/22

Deadlift
135 x 5 DOH
170 x 3 DOH
197.5 x 1 ALT (L pron)
212,5 x 1 ALT (R pron)
197.5 x 5 STRAPS
This was... good.

Bench
45 x 5
70 x 4
95 x 3
102.5 x 4,4,4
This was fine.

Front squat
95 x 6, 8

Asst. pullup // hammer grip
50 x 6, 6

KB snatch
40 x 5L/5R
These hurt my elbows less than they have in a long time

Music
I was in depeche mode again.

Good log, good music!

Also, I wanted to say that if you're who I think you are on the Other Forum, your posts on squat technique have been helpful to me. Thanks.

Thx! I think I remember your e-mail. Yeah, sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I didn't feel right undermining the StSt online coaching endeavor when you'd contacted me through the StSt website. Hope your training is going well.

I'm not that person (didn't send you an email!) but I appreciate it nonetheless!

I've been sick unto death with some kind of plague. Basically, my lungs have been full of horrible gunk and I haven't been able to breathe properly for almost two weeks. I'm only now starting to feel normal. Sputum has been my existence for days upon days. I wanted to get back to the gym yesterday, but my alarming Selma Bouvier voice and convulsive sputum spewing would have made my fellow gym patrons fear for their health, even if I probably am not contagious anymore. On the plus side, if I were lean enough, I'd probably have razr abzzzz if the full-torso DOMS from all the coughing was any indication.

I'll have to do a minor reset, but I'm looking forward to getting back to it this week.

That sounds like the same thing that went through my house. I was out of time-off, so I just had to go outside to spit of the chunks that came up with the cough.

Were you able to work up through a sputum LP or did you try to jump in more xfit style?

Ugh, so it took me about a week longer than I expected to be able to ascend a flight of stairs without being out of breath, and then my parents totaled their car (they're both ok, though), so my schedule's been a bit nutty due to car-sharing issues.

Finally made it back today and I'm easing back in.

Squat
45 x 5
65 x 5
85 x 5
105 x 5
115 x 5
120 x 5
Next squat workout will be 125 x 5, 5, 5 and I'll work back up from there.

Bench
45 x 5
65 x 5
75 x 5
85 x 5
90 x 5
Next bench workout will be 95 x 5, 5, 5 and then work back up

Asst. Pull //hammer grip
60 x 8
55 x 6

No music today. My headphones were out of gas.
