I like to think of myself as a True Patrician™ (think about it, my name is 100% from the Roman Empire). As for the cotton: nah, offbrand (read, non Nike/Adidas/Under Armour/etc.) synthetic fabrics are for True Peasants who can't afford that soft, marvelous, cotton.

Another argument: synthetic comes from oil, so it's an industrial product, and industry = plebe, so synthetic = plebe. Cotton comes from a plant, plant = farm, farm = Patrician / Feudal Lord / Noble.

Also, I recently discovered that Lee Extreme Motion are infinitely superior to Levi 541s AND half the price.

We can do tanks and silkies as a Exodus Strength uniform and ruck through the park together
