Re: Dogs
It can be a bit of an uphill battle leave your dog intact. Most public dog parks or boarders that allow doggy socializing around here require it.
We told our breeder we'd neutered our good boi, and he did this:
He was positive the dog would never retrieve, never hunt, never bird, he was just a lost cause. Because Testosterone! Manly Dogginess!
So I asked how he trained his bitches. I think he mumbled something about more reps closer to their max.

and then the punch line hit. Damn.

That's such a great weapon. I've been carrying my Sig P365 this past year since its about the same capacity, shoots just as well, but is a whole form factor size smaller, so easier to tote and conceal.BostonRugger wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 4:07 amI 100% thought of Cody and something about walking a mile in a man’s shoes while checking my cant.Hanley wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 3:42 amGlock 19, Cody ?BostonRugger wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 3:16 ampondering which weapon I’d use in the event I had to deal with one intact 90lb doberman and a slightly smaller neuter
If I was picking a weapon specifically for that kind of task, though, it would be a 10mm. I'm about to pick one up for hog hunting and general wilderness protection, debating between the XDM or the G20/40. If we're allowed something besides a handgun, I'd probably run a Remington 870 with 2 rounds of #00, then slugs.
Also, for the record, I'm definitely not a dog hater. Dogs are awesome, I have a dog, have always had dogs, and will always have dogs. I just happen to not want to be bitten by one. Or for my little girls or my wife to be bitten. So yeah, I'll poke holes in a bad dog in a heart beat.

Re: Dogs
I grew up in the Middle East, and I guess the general cultural distaste for dogs rubbed off on me. Sure, they can be kind of cute at times. But no 4 legged animal will ever cross the threshold to my home.

Re: Dogs
I mean .... as long as you have a nice hospitable shelter/dog/kennel outside-thing out back for them .... that's fine I guess.
(not too hot or cold; clean; shelter; food; room to run ...)
They don't HAVE TO come into the inside of your house.
And then there this:
(time stamped at 3:00)
if you make it thru all of the "kissing", the howling at 7:00 is rather cute as well....
