Me too.
If you let go before they actively pull away you stopped too soon. I am known in my friend group for long (and good, hb) hugs. Very proud of that.

For all my introverted tendencies and social deficits, I have zero aversion to human touch unless I actively dislike the person. And a feature of my unique appeal to heterosexual men is that I get a lot arm punches and shoulder shakes from a few dudes at work. What's funny is that I work with some younger women who are always like, "ew, why doesn't that guy just come out of the closet already." For your homophobia.

6/15/24

Deadlift 365x3x5

Landmine Row +170x 12, 12
Last few reps were partials.

Arnold Press 60x 12, 12

Incline DB Curl 30x 14, 12

SSB Calf Raise 155x 16, 14
Once again; long pause on the stretch and little concern for extension height. Stop when the pain hits @8.

6/15/24

Road Run
25:00

6/16/24

Trail Walk/Run with wife
30:00

My wife does this whole big crossfit warmup with skipping, high knees, walking lunges, and more... all to run one 13+ minute mile. At least she can do muscle ups and deadlift 3 plates. For your muscle mommy.

6/17/24

Incline Bench 195x 12, 10, 12 (long rest)
I brought my grip in tighter by 1 finger width and it made this movement feel much smoother and stronger. Who knew how much better 1 finger could make you feel?

SSB Squat 315x5x3
Had bigger plans for the squat but I contracted a sudden and intense headache after the incline bench, and it's not going away. As a former Catholic (among other things), I accept this punishment for the bench success and dirty finger talk. (lol because the finger gets dirty [headache just got worse])

Dips +50x 14, 12

Tib Raise 30x 20, 18

Hanging Knee Raise x 12, 10, 10

Farmer Carry
100# each
1080 yards
43:30

I’m no longer limited by shoulders, forearms, or grip on these. Which means all that’s left is… hand skin. I had to use 3 different grip styles to prevent tearing, and take frequent breaks.

It’d be cool if cardio was the limiter. Maybe this just means my cardio is up to snuff. Yep, that’s what it means.

That’s also what she said.

Knuckle deep within the borderline, as they say.

Been feeling sleepy and yawning all day despite a good night's sleep. I think that farmer carry marathon got me plumb tuckered out. For your farmer talk.

RDL 295x3x8

Landmine Row +170x 10, 10, 8
Grip was totally shot for these. Again, we are blaming the farmer carries.

Arnold Press 50x 16, 14, 12

Hammer Curl 30x 20, 16, 12

SSB Calf Raise 165x 17, 16, 14

Musings: My lifting music of late has been youtube EDM playlists with sexy AI ladies in the thumbnails. I am unashamed.
