Inzer true blacks - These were my first ever pair of knee wraps, back in 2011. Used them for years afterward as my training wrap. Not the strongest wraps out there but they hold up well enough for regular training.

Titan THPs - These are very good when new, but the material wears out very quickly. I won't buy these again.

Elitefts Kraits - These have been my favorite wraps for a long time. Very thick and strong, but a bit stretchier than than the elitefts heavies or similar wraps.

Metal Orange Wraps - I actually tried these for the first time yesterday. Might be my new favorite. Very stiff and strong material (about as strong as the Kraits), but slightly thinner and less bunchy, so it's easier to tie off at the end.

Jeez man, that's a monster good morning. And after heavy rack pulls. Don't come across many people doing these. I've tried programming them a few times: Interested to see your technique if you've got any vids. What do you reckon they do for you compared to just more pulling?

In think they work the pulling muscles a great deal while being less taxing due to the lesser weight used. They also require a lot more control during the eccentric phase. Maybe that means they're better for building muscle mass? I don't know that for sure, but my hamstrings are a lot bigger and stronger now.

I wish i even had a frame of reference for how impressive a 600lb box squat is.

I'm sure "very" is not completely wrong.

I know. Impressive box! It's very strong. Most boxes would break with that much weight on them.

Nice lifting, man. The thought of close-grip at that weight gives me the fear.

It did for me too. I have weak wrists that were feeling sore and shitty on that day, so I was afraid of dropping the bar on myself (I have done that a couple of times). I just double checked the safeties and pushed it out of my mind.

didn't log a couple of workouts.

Yesterday
SSB 12" box squat
245x5
295x3
335x2
385x1
435x1
465x1
485x1

light assistance

today
close grip incline press
115x5
145x3
165x1
185x1
215x1
225x1
240x1

light assistance

Eating and sleeping have been shitty over the past couple weeks due to sickness and holiday bullshit. 6 days out from the meet. Probably won't log until then.

Got sick again earlier this week. Planned on lifting in the middle of the 242s but I weighed in at 218 (I think I was dehydrated). That was okay.

Squat warmups felt okay. Opened with 578 and smoked it. Hit 622 for my second and got 1 red light from the head judge. At this point the gym felt unbearably hot. I was sweating bullets and felt very nauseous. After standing outside and dry heaving for several minutes, I returned for my third attempt at 650. The weight moved okay and I thought it was a solid lift, but was red lighted by the two side judges for depth.

Warming up on a competition bench felt great. Everything moved smoothly. Opened at 308 and hit 330 for my second, which moved a little slower than I expected. Took a conservative jump to 341 for my third, and pressed it easier than 330.

Deadlifts felt fast and strong today. Opened with a dynamic effort rep at 507, followed by a fairly fast 567. Decided to try 600 and pulled it fast with my legs shaking like leaves.

Totaled 1565 in the 220 weight class. I'll start training again as soon as possible. Next meet is probably APF equipped nationals (this includes raw w/ wraps) in june.
