I'm still working on the template stuff and coaching options, BUT in the meantime I'm opening slots for hyper-specific bench programming. Yup. Bench programming.
Just-bench programming is $25 a month. Bring me your poverty bench. Send a DM if interested.

Just finished with RTS Guided Programming and looking for my next programming option. Any update on the strength template/coaching options? Thanks.

I think something got messed up with my DM messages. I thought I sent you a reply, but I'm not seeing it. Anyway...haven't posted the templates yet, but I've got a bunch prepped in the coaching software...so I've got slots for both "coached templates" and full custom stuff.

I just started the Montana Method 2-week cycle template. I'll probably do that for a while and then look for what's next. I'll keep an eye on what you're putting out there. Thanks for the MM template, much appreciated. I enjoyed the first workout, felt good.Hanley wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 12:30 pmI think something got messed up with my DM messages. "Group Programming" is morphing into "coached templates". I'll have a library of 25+ templates that you can search through...you find your match...and either run it solo for free, or pay me $50 a month to be the virtual asshole-on-your-shoulder silently judging you (but also helping with load selection, small mechanics tweaks, low-touch coaching, etc).

That sounds very promising.Hanley wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 7:15 pm "Group Programming" is morphing into "coached templates". You suck spreadsheets? How does that even work?

You could probably farm them out around here if you want a little help. You probably don't, but I'll suggest it anyway.

I really like the excel table that @thejosef did for the two week template.
I believe it was him.

Thanks. I'm no excel wizard, like some are on this board, but I do enjoy experimenting with it via these templates. I'm open to helping out if ever needed. I use Excel daily at work, but it's super basic stuff, so it's fun to be challenged a bit with formulas and whatnot.Wilhelm wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2019 6:05 amI really like the excel table that @thejosef did for the two week template.

Re: The Montana Method, or That thing Hanley's doing with those people.
Do you think there will be anything remotely close to 6-7 40 minute sessions per week?
I’m having a crisis trying to balance everything in my life, but can get up around 4 am to make this happen, I’m having a hard time getting up much earlier and starring down the barrel of a hour+ session. I’m a weak intermediate if it matters.

To be honest I would prefer at least one rest day. I’d pay for a template like this as well, just saying, I like your stuff, you do good work and it’s all practical. Thank you sir

Re: The Montana Method, or That thing Hanley's doing with those people.
Quick Review on The Montana Method:
Started working with Hanley about a year ago. I have never really followed strict barbell programming before beyond following (YDNTP) the program on the SS wiki page about 3 or 4 years ago for seven to eight months, otherwise I have spent the last 20+ years doing my own thing in the gym, mostly machine and dumbbell work. Generally, I work out for several months, quit, then pick it back up a year or two later.
My big 3 lifts have improved as follows with personal programming from @Hanley :
Squat: 300(ish) to 440 lbs. Bench: 275(TNG) to 315 lbs. Deadlift 475 (hitched) to 540 lbs. All of my current maxes are from my past two meets.
@Hanley has tailored his programming to incorporate my equipment, like the Edge Fitness Rickshaw, and humor my occasional desire to do instagram/youtube inspired accessories like Rubish Hyper-extension deadlifts/backraises. I am very pleased with his programming and coaching advice.
I am far from the most impressive lifter, and have the aforementioned tendency to get bored/unmotivated and move on from strength training, but the ability to show steady improvements on The Montana Method and do so without feeling run down has kept me interested & energized. Even now, a few days after a meet and the necessarily tedious prep leading up to it, I am largely pain free and excited about upcoming training blocks.
In short, coaching & programming by Hanley has greatly improved both my confidence and competence in barbell sports. The value is immense and well worth it, whether you are a serious strength athlete or an amateur powerlifting like myself. I look forward to working with John for the foreseeable future and encourage anyone else interested in online programming do so as well.

Re: The Montana Method, or That thing Hanley's doing with those people.
I've been getting programming from Hanley for a year now.
When I started, I was nearing the end of an LP back up to prior levels. Prior all time 1RMs were 385/230/420, and e1RMs at that time were 375/225/400 - I was getting close and wanted to turn it over to him rather than fuck myself up.
I did a mix of 3 and 2 days a week, probably slightly more 2 day than 3 day. I probably missed 3 or 4 workouts over that time, mostly near the end - I have started getting burned out on BB stuff and I have a lot of activities pulling me in lots of directions. As of my most recent tests, in March and April, I have gone
Squat: 375 => 405, +30 (+20 all time)
Bench Press: 225 => 275, +50 (+45 all time)
Deadlift: 400 => 445, +45 (+25 all time)
It's been awesome.
