Defying Gravity

Anyone got a copy of Defying Gravity by Bill Starr that they'd like to get rid of?

I can trade a pair of Reebok legacy lifters, size 10 US, only worn once. Or exchange monies.

There's a used paperback on Amazon for a couple hundred bucks. How bad do you want it?

Are you after a hardcopy, or would a pdf version do? Not to be indelicate, but Bill Starr is dead, so ethically I'm unconcerned about obtaining a copy via non-shopfront methods. You could get a nice print job done if you want something like the original. Anyway - PM incoming.

And I don’t think he ever had a wife or kids either.

Charging $200 for a $10 book is fairly unethical.

ETA: Mr. Starr had a daughter.

So...why not just buy it here for $17?

Edit: Nevermind, I see it's out of stock now.

I'd never looked into Bill Starr's catalogue before. It's .... eclectic. "His Quiet Splendor: Reflections on God's Love" is nicely juxtaposed with "Meanwhile, Back at the Sex Farm".

It all makes sense now. The door has been opened (to be opened). The student has become the master.

I might have a copy have to check when I get home. PM me reasonable monies and I'm sure it would be cool. No, I'm not looking for $100 or $1,000's (not unless it actually shows sold on eBay for 1,000's I guess that would put me in 100's.)

(edit: WTF, Alibris has it for $3,210.80, damn that 80 cents. What goes on here?)

A lot of Amazon prices are set by bots. Occasionally, two bots get into a price war and you get this kind of silliness.

I don't know if that's the case here but I reached out to the seller on Alibris to see what's up. I sell on Amazon so I know about the "match price" sort of automated that you can set up. I'm pretty sure Alibris is still more manual so I'm surprised to see it so high on their site. There is an autographed copy on eBay for $500 so that was clearly set manually. Will be interesting to see if it sells.
