3-26-2019 well ...... poop! son dropped his scooter on his barefoot the other day.
I thought he might of broke his big toe. its all swollen, and still hurts 24 hrs post-smash.
Funny, he did it Sun afternoon, and we did squats in the pm. I didn't have him dead though.
He managed that just fine.
Anyways, got xrays yesterday. Docs say no break that she can see, but radiologist needs to confirm.
I doubt he can run at all. Sad, 1st F-ball game w/ the new team is this Fri.
Funny enough, I think he'll still be able to squat.
Measured at 5'3", 95# with clothes on.

We had the move our operations out to the garage.
Getting new flooring and the ouse has to be "evacuated".
So using the 44# Oly bar now in the garage on the platform, instead of the stupid carpet.
Got a late start today cuz homework, so had to cut things short. Probably do a shit ton of pulls tomorrow and chin stuff.

Tournament against/with some National Champion teams/programs. Got destroyed.of course. Played a lot of defense. 4 games total. 3 back to back with almost no rest. Pretty brutal.
4-8-2019 Mon
Team Practice 90 min at park.
These pretty easy, it's drills, patterns, and some scrimmage. There's quite a bit of rest in between reps.
No running or conditioning at all from this new coach.
Almost an off day really.
And good news bad news. A kid on the other higher level team got injured (scooter). MJ got moved up, well actually is going to play on both teams now. Schedule will be more hectic.....but the single game days aren't hard....will be good experience for him IMO.
I guess sqt/ohp one day, and deadlift/chinup the other.
No time for much else.

Team Practice.
About 40% of the Team didn't show today for some reason?
So son got a lot of reps.
Practice is perfect IMO; he gets a lot of short burst sprint work,
but ample rest between reps. Run a play, they talk about it for 1-2 minutes, go again.
A lot of blitzing, etc.

Did well, they won by a couple of touchdowns.

Our kids were flat, tired, out of shape

Only good thing is is they did this pacer physical fitness test at school....it's like a series on timed short ladder sprints. Son scored 2nd high in their grade. Was complaining about soreness/fatgiue kicking in already.
