After The Bridge
Don't know how many people are running The Bridge, but I am. I'm interested on your thoughts for what to do after you've crossed it. Also, how would we set a taper for testing (maybe a custom RPE chart production)?
My thoughts - I plan on tampering with The Bridge and running it again:
1) Include x1@8 before the rep work for my important lifts (squat, press and deadlift) on all weeks (not only 5-8);
2) Swap mid-shin deadlifts for RDL;
3) Swap out 303 tempo squats for front squats;
4) Change the height of the pause on paused deadlifts (my sticking point is right after my knees extend);
5) Change rows for Power Cleans (Triples? I don't know how to do this) - screw rows, I love power cleans;
6) Change 1ct pause bench for TnG bench, forever;
Still not figured out:
1) Press variations (currently running TnG Strict Press, will use Pin Press as the next variation, and ??? as the third variation);
2) Lower back fatigue from deadlifts affecting Press 2.0 right after it on the third workout of the week;
3) Will I need to vary the rep ranges on the second run through The Bridge?
4) Will I need to increase volume a bit?
I know some of these answers will just pop in my head as I progress through the program, but I'm curious to know what you guys think about all this.

Re: After The Bridge
That should be addressed by the correct employment of the methods described in Starting Length and Gaining Girth. PM mgil for further info.aurelius wrote:Didn't read it. Will it make my dick bigger?
Don't know. The authors said this:Manveer wrote:You can't just deload and run it again?
Great marketing hook, though.The Bridge wrote:3) What should I do after this program?
a. That’s a great question whose answer depends on what you want to do.
Theoretically, you could repeat the program and probably get some good results, but you may need alterations in volume, intensity, frequency, or movement selection to optimize it to your specific needs. Coaching may be needed for this process.

I don't think fucking with all the assistance work is going to make that much difference, so go ahead if you want to. I don't see why you couldn't run it again.

Re: After The Bridge
You'll have to provide bespoke coaching. When the trainee fails a couple of workouts, you will need to earn your keep by sending an email that says "Deload 10% and go again".KOTJ wrote:Hire me. $200/month for one of Jordans TM templates.

I'll put 1lb on his deadlift in 1 year.

If I tell you that most of the changing assistance work is because of personal bias, what would you say?Manveer wrote:I don't think fucking with all the assistance work is going to make that much difference, so go ahead if you want to. I don't see why you couldn't run it again.
Prove it. You are the worst couch. You didn't even pass the couch exam.KOTJ wrote:I'll put 1lb on his deadlift in 1 year.

If it improves compliance and it still works but is slightly less optimal... do it.Murelli wrote:If I tell you that most of the changing assistance work is because of personal bias, what would you say?Manveer wrote:I don't think fucking with all the assistance work is going to make that much difference, so go ahead if you want to. Re: After The Bridge
I was wondering myself and asked him.
He said he'd "adjust variations and intra workout volume first".

Re: After The Bridge
I bet you could run it again and add a little bit to whatever you lifted last time (5-10lbs depending on lift) and on the last week or two, add an extra set to the main lifts.
