After 8 months clean, I relapsed and started reading that forum again. The "current affairs" thread is enough to give you brain cancer.

You should post some choice selections in the thread downstairs. They could use the traffic.

Not a direction I had anticipated they'd take, but one I should have.

The last photo looks like a rite of initiation.

I think they’ve done one of these “seminars” before. Seems obviously targeted to some odd demographic.

Are you tired of being a 90-pound weakling? Let Starting Strength show how to become a real man in just 1 weekend.

It is hard for me to believe that people sign up for these but they obviously do. I guess the only real surprise is there is not a portion on how to barbeque and drink a whole bottle of whiskey in one sitting.

You ever been to a gun range? This is like, the least crazy "weekend seminar" I've seen compared to some of the shit advertised at my local ranges.

I mean, it's all horseshit, but cosplaying tough guys with guns is a god damn national pastime.

“ Nick Delgadillo is the fixer for The Aasgaard Company and Starting Strength Gyms.”

What in the blue hell does that mean? Does he fancy himself their Ray Donovan?

I have not seen something like this but I go like twice a year. I guess I'm not really involved in the gun range community though. Maybe they do things like this all the time and I don't know about it.

It's funny because at least in sport fighting conditioning is of course extremely important. These warriors of Asgaard will be dead in the water after 20 seconds.

Means he’s useless as a coach? Shit like this is just media fluff.

Nothing like that offered at mine, but maybe it's because it's a private club vs. a "range"?

Here's some of the shit at a nearby place. Some of it is normal "how to fire a gun" stuff. Some is...yeah.

These MFs
With the current restrictive gun laws in place, many individuals are looking for alternative ways to protect themselves and their loved ones. The Atienza Protective Pen / Edged-Weapon course is the answer. Atienza Kali is a very sought out organization their instructors are here to give you an introductory course in the art of unconventional self-protection tools starting with the pen and transitioning to the blade. The Pen & Knife course will teach some simple techniques (targeting, deployment, defense) and discuss the pros & cons of each tool. The 4-hour course is derived from the Atienza knife curriculum modified specifically for Gun For Hire students.
This is the stuff that get people in trouble. Instead of running I'm going to try to stab you in the neck with a pen! Sounds like a ass whippin waiting to happen
