I owe 2022 a Murph. My elbow was out of commission last Memorial Day. I’ll probably pick a day the last week of the year and attempt a leisurely 1:11:30 which was my last.

Amongst my 2023 goals are a faster mile and a sun 50 minute Murph.

Helped a friend move today. Lots of stuff. Pizza was consumed.

Not sure how this BBB block is gonna comport with Thanksgiving travel. Might skip tomorrow’s rest day.

201.7/200.7 big binge last night

BBB 2.1.1
Press 107.5x2,3,2,2,2,2
—ss w/—
Bench
(45,115,135,155,175,200)x5
225x2 whaaaaat?
205x5

CGBP
140x10x5
— ss w/—
Chin-ups
+10x5
+20x5
+30x5x3

Total time 50 minutes
Committed the cardinal 5/3/1 mistake of starting too heavy. Would have realized last week. I guess I underestimated how much light presses take out of me during bench warm up. Last week’s 225x5 felt easy

Typing this up as I lie on the floor gasping for breath.
All of my workouts don’t need to be this dense, but I’m glad this one is.

Tentative stoopid Wednesday plan

BBB time 23ish minutes. Had to drop to 2 min rests last round

5 minute break

Mini leg blasters
3 rounds , 3 min rest
Total time 63 minutes

Bummed I didn’t get my 5 reps on 280. Next cycle I’m keeping weights the same and doing pr sets. Might be a good idea going forward.
BBB still is a cardio struggle. I hope I will somewhat have adapted by the end of next cycle. We’ll see

I’ve been out of the rollercoaster game for a long while, but this summer I was introduced to linear synchronous motor launch. Basically you sit down, strap in, and the coaster immediately jets off. No ominous buildup hill, no warmup dip - just go-go-go.
December life stress just LSM launched me into it today. My new work schedule is infinitely more demanding from a classroom management perspective, the kids are -nowhere- near concert-ready, my family destroyed the house unpacking from the trip and I haven’t had a chance to remedy it. I have a recording project this month, my wife started new classes, my finances had to get overhauled due to the new car payment I picked up. The kids are struggling with schoolwork, and I’m struggling to be a net positive to them. I didn’t get to start my workout until 10:30. The best part of my day was the TBDL and dip supersets, because I was so busy trying to breathe that I forgot to dread my life.

So what I’m trying to say is - I’m really enjoying BBB, and I’m not gonna sweat that missed rep.
Oh and Monday YMCA workouts are now mandatory so this doesn’t happen again.

Not looking forward to BBB TBDL in public tomorrow.

Looking at my log, my weighted chinup PR is 260x5 for sets across. That was 230 bodyweight + 30 in plates

It would be really nice to hit 265x5x5 this year.
After this BBB block I’m probably going to switch to a waved pyramid scheme
