Australians

Bands, chains, wraps, straps, racks... are you sure this is training related?

It looks like the centre section is 2" wide thick walled pipe like I've seen axle bars made from. It's pretty stiff and fairly light for that.

So basically they've figured out a way to construct a decent bar super-cheap but they are charging a premium for it.

@Sumo well it is iron edge haha

I remember when they actually had a show room and their prices were extreme back then.

I know they had some drama closing down and re opening but I never knew the whole story

Just got another photo from Verve of the SSB.
The camber / angle doesn’t look ideal but from what I’ve heard maybe in another months time they may be releasing a very similar SSB to the Titan V2 SSB so I might just hold off for that.

Oooohh SNAP! I was really hoping Verve would become the Aussie version of Titan based on seeing some of their gear it seems like they are modelling their products very close to Rogue. I'll reach out as well to find out when they are due to product release, and then I'll have to think on it, do I go for the ABC SSB or gmable and wait for the Verve SSB.

Yep, the handles and the camber angle is the same in the pic - I wouldn't get it.

@InsideOutside I just got off the phone with my contact at Verve, they are indeed releasing a TitanV2 clone and they expect it'll be shipping by end of October. Price point will be $399, but he did mention there's a strong posibility of a pre-order price.

Knowing this I think I'll hold off on the ABC SSB and go with Verve.

@Sumo yep very promising!
I’ll be waiting for sure and jumping on a pre order to secure myself one!
It’s rated highly as the elite fts yoke knockoff so that’s pretty promising

Apparently some of their rack attachments are due in the same time frame also which would be good for me.
Definitely wanting to pick up the strap safeties and then I think I’ll be set.

Only have the option of pickup on the pre order so not sure if they’ll invoice a delivery charge once they come in but I’ve sent a message asking.
I’ll be able to hopefully make the delivery worth my while with a weight tree and some other goodies

Same, will pull the trigger tonight.

I was able to add to cart, drop in my address and get a shipping option - $20 to Sydney, or free pickup.

$84 to post to me in Melbourne.
Need to add a few more things to make the shipping worth it for me I think

Mine updated to $28 once I put the order through proper, but it's done. October hurry the f up please!! - $378 for a yoke-bar clone, hell yeah. Verve is starting to give me hope for decent and well priced equipment down under.

Next on the list is the stainless OPB haha

@InsideOutside I bought the OPB last year for my bday, followed by the Speed4Lifts VBT encoder, and now the yoke bar. I have about $120 bucks left to spend, and I'm torn. I could get myself a really nice bottle of whiskey, a pair of competition collars from verve or a barbell holder/gunrack - argh!

If you can wait a month or two, I probably won't need my gun rack barbell holder in the new gym, I was planning on buying some vertical bar storage (as well as another bar or two) so I'll probably sell it.

Is the whole "Don't store barbells vertically " a bit of BS?
@BenM

@Sumo
I'd go the collars but whiskey isn't my choice of poison!
