You still getting any time to game?
Hahahahahahahahaha
Oh wait.
Of my "regular" group, the guy most local to me also had a kid 10 days before we did. My cousin got a girlfriend who loves beer and boardgames, and now won't talk to me even when they drive an hour into my city to go to breweries. My college buddy's alcoholic brother is trying to kill himself, his dad had a stroke, and his mom broke her foot. Another local guy is annoying as shit so he is only invited over if someone else will also be there.

So, sadly, very little. I did really like Dead of Winter, though.
Damn, sorry for poking a fresh wound!

TLN makes me upset at the publisher for still selling both versions. It's basically DoW Revised, and they should cease production for the original and sell upgrade kits for those buyers. There's just literally no reason to get the "base game".

Didn't play Whitechapel, did a round of Secret Hitler which I won(bad guys). I feel like we won twice because my stupid partner didn't vote for me to be chancellor(auto win after a few rounds) and I was fuming. Literally no reason, he just wasn't paying attention. But we still pulled out a win a few rounds later.

I wonder how all of these front squats will affect your back squat mechanics when you go back to that. Maybe some beneficial quad and upper back growth.

Honestly it's not too bad, things are so busy that I've hardly noticed missing out on game time. The local guy with a kid should be around more often, now, his wife is a teacher so during the summer they are gone 90% of the time, so hopefully this fall we can get dice back on the table.
I honestly don't even know which DOW my group has, I talked the guy with the kid into buying it and we've only played it 3-4 times. I'd like to get in some Secret Hitler, sounds like a good time.
Time Stories could be cool, and Ten Candles sounds like an awesome game to play with people

We'll see. Last time I ran FS up to somewhere in this same ballpark for reps, and ~345 for a single, and I don't remember there being much carryover.

I like SH. The luck factor in the policy decisions adds some interesting plays.

We enjoyed time stories. Hope you like it too! If your DOW has "raxxon" or bandits, or stiff cardboard location tiles, it's the newer one.

I remember the location tiles being cardstock, so probably the old one.

CoC Sep 25
#1 10x10

Expand Your Hand
Blue 5x1
Yellow 12x3

I'm not 100% sold on this CoC protocol. I probably should have brought them home, though, I felt like day 4 (day 1 100, day 2 100, day 3 5 singles, day 4 100) was easy, but then two days off and day 5 is more difficult?

Later:
BB curl
45x35 (quick pump before going on a run)
1 mile run
9:07.xx (accidentally canceled the timer instead of stopping it)

Fuuuuuu. Actually a few seconds slower than last time. Felt a little better, I probably could have pushed a few seconds harder? Also, nearly 100 with the heat index, so not exactly ideal conditions.

CoC Sep 26
#1.5 1x5

5PM
Dips
30x5x6
PU
5x6

Wide grip (pinkey at rings) strict press
45x12x5
Grenade chain curl
B chain x12x5

No rest on the press and curl. Cold mostly gone, but last night my left ear started hurting like a mother fucker. Which is fun, because the infection was in my right ear.

Man, my hands are getting tired of this volume. It probably doesn't help that I did some pretty grip-intensive curls with the grenades last night on the "rest" day, either. Ear still hurts a lot, this is super annoying. Have a ANOTHER doctor appointment tomorrow.
Front squats went well. My PR is 305x5x3, though. Kid cried from before the last set of squats...

I'm with you... seems heavy on the volume and light on the intensity. On the CoC site they claim that low reps are the way to go to improve grip strength. Of course, that could just be to get you to keep buying harder grippers, but it makes sense when you think about all the other muscles in the body.

I think I'm going to alternate 10x10 with the #1 with maybe 5x5 with the #1.5, or something like that.

All right! Glad you made the journey out of Egypt and into Jerusalem or whatever we are calling ourselves now! Hopefully my slapstick comedy of exercise can provide some entertainment.

It's also pretty brutal. My fingers are sore.

In other news, Sister-in-law has laryngitis now, so I've been trying to help her out a little bit too. And wife has mostly been working until 7-7:30ish, usually getting home in time for bed time routines. The first day everyone in this house is healthy and actually home I am going to get blasted drunk and play video games all night.

CoC session 8/10 Sep 28
#1 10x10

This was the hardest session yet- the way I seat it in my left hand lets it slide around a little, and I'm getting shredded between the second and third joint of my last 3 fingers on my left hand, and on my pinky on my right. I'm not sad this is the last "volume" day of the cycle, but I'm not sure where to go after the two more "rest" days. Do I bump up to the 1.5 for my volume days? I'm not sure I can do 100 reps with it. My hands need the break for sure, though. Set 10 I actually had to stop at rep 8 with my left hand, it hurt too much, do the reps with my right hand, then finish the set with my left (+1 for 'penance').

Later (4PM)
Conditioning
Farmers carry
120x40y x2
140x40y x2
160x40y x1
170x40y x1 (PR)
90x40y x6

Not too bad. I think a 400lb carry is in here.

I don't know, I got them done in about 90 minutes. Today most of them were at a coworkers desk while I showed him the super manual process of putting together a report we have to do 90 versions for.

Jeez, I'm way behind. I just took the entire morning to do 50 reps of #1 in 10 sets.

Wait, you do left hand first, then right? There's your problem. Weirdo.

My right hand is stronger. I know anything I get done with my left hand I can get done with my right hand. Thus, I do the limiting factor first.

Hand stuff & benchies

CoC Day 9 Sep 29
#1.5 1x5 (took a few attempts with my left hand on 2 of these to actually count the rep)

Expand your Hand
Blue x12x3

4:30PM
Bench
252.5x1
208.75x5x9
DB row
110x5x9

EZ bar curl
60x12x5
Band pull-aparts
Micro band x12x5

Hands/forearms are just brutalized, especially after CoC/farmers combo yesterday. I was under the assumption it was bench day yesterday all day, for some reason. Got home, passed the kid off to SiL who wanted to feed him & take him for a walk, put on a tshirt with cut off sleeves ready to get swole, looked at my log and saw it was conditioning day. Bummer. Will do Day 10 tomorrow, then take Sunday off of grip training.

Benching went well. My shoulders were still sore from there press, and the farmers, decided on a 1.25lb jump. Got through it.

Non-lifting: my manager has a vinyl cutter. I am getting some pieces from him to stick onto the kid's helmet so it looks like Luke's X-Wing helmet.
