Daniel Ståhl has been putting up a lot of insane lifting in his Instagram stories. They're terrible examples of efficient form, which makes it even more impressive that he's putting up those kinds of weights.

Track World championships are going on right now, and today there was the best shot put competition in history:
1. Joe Kovacs (USA): 22.91m
2. Ryan Crouser (USA): 22.90m
3. Tom Walsh (NZL): 22.90m
To put it into perspective:
- Crouser's round 1 throw of 22.36 was a new championship record
- Kovac's throw ties for 3rd all time with Crouser and Walsh now tied right behind him
- Those are the longest throws since 1990

Yea, beautiful. A moment for history.
Crouser is amazing, a better athlete than LeBron James.
Its odd (iow: awesome) he knew it right away when it left his hand
(i didn't watch it as it happened, but looking at the results i think he was throwing almost a full meter farther than everyone else,
so i assume the gold medal and/or qualifying for the olympics was not even an issue at all... he knew that was a kickass throw right at release)

Throwers almost always know at release when they've hit the Big One...and this was the Biggest.

Last night Crouser almost broke world record again at World Athletics Championship.
We might be witnessing the greatest track&field athlete of all time.

Soo... 7 meters less than world record is better than a 0.5 meter WR?
