If true, that'll make a future Pitt vs Pats playoff game all the better to watch if AB is still active and contributing.

I don't know why anyone would want to go to (or stay with) the Raiders.
Well for $30+ million dollars, I'll play in Oakland for a bit of time.

If last night was any indication, I don't think the Steelers will be making the playoffs. Or the Pats are really, really good.

We should have dead-pool contest of sorts for head coaches who will be fired mid-season ... or up to two weeks after the Team's last game.
(a playoff team like the cowboys could fire their coach after an opening playoff game loss I suppose)

You have to pick three.
You can't pick the same three as someone else.
A tie is decided by how quickly the three coaches got fired.

- Steelers - Tomlin
- Browns - Kitchens
- Carolina - Rivera

This AB thing just keeps getting crazier! Now these are just allegations right now, and he is of course innocent until proven guilty. But this could not come at a worse time for him as a person and player. He is already on his last chance with a team that doesn't deal with distractions. He has already ruined all of his credibility in the media, and public. This is just going to cause more issues for him, and I really do not see him lasting the entire season with the Patriots now that these allegations are out there.

The timing of the allegations do raise questions on their legitimacy and truthfulness. A lot of people will say this is a money grab, but IMHO I think if it were a money grab it would have happened after he signed with the Raiders making more money.

@mbasic totally a mental issue with this guy, but I think that he is way to narcissistic to do that to himself. He doesn't see anything that he is doing as wrong at all. Plus all he has around him is "yes" people. I hope it doesn't happen for sure.

My wife should just start filming my reactions as I refresh the score of Denver games on my phone with 0:30 left on the clock...

My brain gets ahead of my eyes and I get all excited and then super mad in one fluid noise as I realize those bastards in Chicago got a field goal with 0:01 on the clock...

THANKS REFS...

Buffalo looked OK... or are the Giants just THAT bad? Either way... 2-0 and B-Lo is already talking about the playoffs haha...

Pass interference review thing isn't going so well from what I've seen and heard (only watched a portion of two games; some highlights)

Vikings had a touchdown called back after mandated TD review showed PI on a different receiver. Kinda weird, I thought the PI review would be like other things; You challenge the specific call, not a general discover phase to see if anything happened on a touchdown.

There was another moment toward the end of the game regarding offset penalties. The official first announced that "By rule, we will decline the Unnecessary Roughness Foul and enforce the holding foul", and literally everybody on both sides was like "WTF?" before the official clarified that they were offsetting penalties.

Roethlisberger is out for the year (/career?). They were hot garbage even with his washed up ass on the field. Sad way for a once-pretty-good player to go out.

I think this is his career, he has looked completely disinterested in playing the past couple of seasons. I think this past offseason has been mentally draining for him with all of the AB news, and questions he's been asked about it. I just think its time he moved on to the next chapter in his life.

I also think that Brees may have a be decision to make after this season as well. Tore some thumb ligament's yesterday in his throwing hand, and they say it could be six weeks before he is back. But that is also IF he can come back fully healthy again with no lasting issues to his hand.

I went to bed 0.4 points down in my football league and woke up 0.6 points ahead with the amended scores. That was pretty neat.

Oh, and Kirk Cousins is who we thought he was.

PI in general looks like this year's "putting your bodyweight on the QB while tackling" rule. While I'll never be upset about the Vikings having points taken off the board, the OPI calls seemed silly.

Also wondering if the refs are stepping up enforcement of defensive holding on rushing plays, or if the Packers have just been unlucky in those calls.

The league is for sure treating the PI rule like last years sack rule after the Saints/Rams playoff game last season. I don't think that they should be able to go back and pinpoint that there was PI of the opposite side of the field when it doesn't affect the play at all.

@Mkgillman

It’s good that they cut him. Not as good as if they’d cut him at any point in time prior to this or just not signed him to begin with. I will still enjoy watching the Patriots beat up on another hapless divisional opponent this week.

So ole A-aron pulling a Russell Wilson from the Super Bowl and throwing the ball on the 2 with the game on the line and getting intercepted. When will these guys learn to not get cute? Put an offensive lineman as a fullback and just do a dive.
