Bummer for Rodgers, bummer for the Jets, bummer for the Packers, and bummer for the NFL. Hard to think that's not a career ender.

I know the Jets have a good D, but Allen seems to have gone full "f it, Diggs down there somewhere" mode.

On the bright side, Jordan Love looked decent against possibly the worst D in the league. Should be interesting season, especially since for once I have no expectation of a playoff run.

That there are no holes in my basement drywall this morning is a small miracle...
Shitty way to lose but, hey, could’ve been blown out by 23 like my guys. This is going to be a very long season.

My brother in law tore his achilles running down a ramp at my son's trampoline park birthday party.

Gonna start calling him Rodgers.

ETA: I won't. He has three young kids (just like we do) and two months into this his wife's teetering on the edge of sanity. Very unfunny, BostonRugger.

My girl’s dipshit ex husband broke his back at a trampoline park. After months of rehab, he is walking fine again, so I still get to call him a dipshit.

Those places are terrifying.

yep. good to avoid messing around/participating in those places made for kids.
Another one is the ice-skating rink (where people hold b-day parties, etc).

Wife's friend's husband broke a hip at his son's b-day event.
Legs (skates) kicked out from under him and he landed square on his hip and broke it.
Was only late 30's.
A terribly long recovery.
He broke the classic rule of "don't try to save yourself/recover from falling, just let yourself go down at the first sign you have felt that you have lost your balance"

Funny, the paramedics were already on site, attending to an accident on the adjacent rink in the other wing of same building.
When they got done with our friend, they had to go back to the first rink and attend to another person who had a bad fall as well.

I just stopped skating at that point....never have skated again. Hard Pass.

I'm pretty spry for 51; can still do a backflip off a playground swing, all kinds of dives (flips, gainers, full-full, etc), can squat snatch, etc.
I won't fuck around at an ice skating rink....
....or a trampoline park. (did some flips and tricks at one when I was late 30's .... tweaked low back muscle)

Waiting for the Swifties to demand an asterisk on that game, as if Mahomes wasn't gifted the softest personal foul of all time.

I wonder if that loss (10-24) to the (pathetic) Cardinals will get some more staff fired ?

(joking, but seriously the offense scored what last game, 10 points? as well)
(don't think it was the OC's fault, but he's just the scapegoat)

I would say it was standard Steelers playing down to the level of the opponent, but deceiving W/L records aside I’m not sure Arizona actually is beneath them.

I didn't watch that game but when did Pickett go out? Not that he is playing well or anything but that's a team that can't afford to be losing pieces...

I really hate that crap... but I digress...

I'm gonna wait for it all to come out. The team will stay quiet until then. Little different situation but look what happened to punt God... obviously you put immediate distance between the team and the player when THOSE allegations come out but he did end up being totally cleared.

What a shame, I like Von and this certainly throws some dirt on his name... hell at least we will save a bunch of money for an investment that hasn't exactly paid dividends if we cut him...

Second quarter. Trubisky probably doesn't suck any worse, but the idea had been to see what Pickett could do for the rest of the year sans Canada. Finding out what we had there was the most we were gonna accomplish this year. Now it's just a total wash.

I'm gonna probably tear through this over breakfast at work tomorrow but I'm pretty much settled on thinking he won't be around next season.

I know people that sorta-kinda-in-a-way know him a little (he goes to their church or at least used to) and he seems like a genuinely good guy and I will always appreciate what he did for this team but barring a miracle I don't think he's the guy to get us to the dance...

Mahomes is a cry baby.
His WR was so offsides it wasn't even funny.

Congrats to the cowboys; I am getting so sick of the Eagles .... head coach is a total creep.
Will be a good game when they meet up in the NFC bracket.

Mahomes and Reid were both crying about the call. Too bad the refs didn't explain it with nuggies.

Did Sirianni do something super weird, like using the 9/11 hijackers as an example of good teamwork?

I think he is in the top 3 among active NFL coaches with extremely punchable faces, but otherwise don't know much about him.
