Re: October 2019: Random Contest
I almost chickened out of this since I've been cutting and I'm not very strong even when I'm not!
But anyway I got three reps. And I'm down 5kg since I last did that, plus I have other excuses too. So I don't care, I'll take it:

Middle of the pack, checking in. 13 reps. I originally miscounted as 14.

225x15 @221 (gym weight)
I see a lot of people here benching with a belt. Does that help?

225 x 25 @ 196.6 BW. There's a rep or two that aren't fully locked, but it'd pass the NFL combine.

@Cody snuck in the winning submission although @broseph might've made a comeback if time and training had allowed.
For the ladies, although we only had two entries, both were outstanding. @acciosnacks barely edged out @DoubleBreastedAmazon!
For the December contest, men's and women's can be same but scaled or completely different. I'll let Cody and acciosnacks decide. One week should be enough to figure out what the next contest will be...

Re: October 2019: Random Contest
Man, @broseph had such a cleaner set than mine, it feels a little dirty stealing the lead from that hoss. Bros gonna bro!
I'll throw out 1-handed deadlift max, straps allowed. Everyone will have the equipment, should be a fun lift to max, and I certainly won't be able to steal the title from beasts like @TimK!For the December contest, men's and women's can be same but scaled or completely different. Re: October 2019: Random Contest
Cody is not quite twice as strong as me.
I'm going to choose to see that as a victory.

@Cody you are most gracious. I figured if I actually won it only would’ve been on account of others not participating. I was hoping to see @Les or @KDW in here for some freak show benching.

Re: October 2019: Random Contest
I take what little joy I can from being in the middle rear of the pack by realizing that at least I'm rational. Or my normalized strength total is anyways.
Congrats everybody. 1 handed strapped deadlifts sound fun. Although I haven't deadlifted in months, so this will be something to see.

I'll second this, but I have to admit that I didn't even know one handed deadlifts were a thing. Sounds fun!Cody wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 12:38 pmI'll throw out 1-handed deadlift max, straps allowed. The three plates you can certainly hit by now with one hand, I can't yet pull with two
