Anyone else happen to catch the amazing squats of Austin Perkins, Taylor Atwood, and Michael Seay?

Both Perkins and Atwood hit 628lb squats, the Seay comes out and hits 633lbs. Just amazing lifting.

Yep.
I was watching last night, and was so bummed when Seay came out injured, i turned it off and went to bed.

Complete sidenote, but i was quite bothered that the refs were allowing the bar to be cleaned between third DL attempts with only a rag.
Someone even tossed the wire brush toward the spotter, and it remained there beside the platform for the rest of the session.

I was noticing that as well, Idk maybe the chalk was coming off fine without the brush, but it was kinda weird now that you mention it.

Good competition tonight between Bryce Lewis and Ashton Rouska. Rouska weighing in at 95 kg. I don’t really understand that logic. But those dudes are strong.

Incidentally it is hard for me to believe Ashton is basically my weight. He looks like a tank. That is why I am trying gain weight. These dudes are thick.

Lewis kind of controlled that class and def forced rouska to take way too high of a third pull. That was good strategy by Lewis who had the higher lot #. Lewis is for sure stronger, but let's see what happens when rouska weighs what Bryce weighs. Kinda cool to see Micheal Davis sneak in there and steal silver

Agreed on all points. It was just good competition. Bryce is still the king. I like to see these young bucks have to earn it.

taylor atwood is pure dominant. the guy weighs 160 and squats 660, benches 420, DL cant remember but the guy is a freak.

russil orhii is uncontested best 93. no one else even close.

bryce lewis totals just a hair shy of 2k. he is king 105

amanda lawrence stronger than 99% of men on this planet. (myself included)

david woolson tore his adductor like a month and a half ago yet squats 600+, bench 400+, DL 750+ = ridiculous

some dude in 105 benched 578

whos gonna win the big boys today???

Looked like Seay was going to challenge Atwood.
The commentator said it well when Seay came out injured ~ "I feel like my puppy just died."

He is 83 kg, but potentially could have won the 93 kg class as well.

I already bitched about this in my instastory, but why the hell can't they take the simplest of steps to make the livestream more entertaining/accessible to viewers? Display the damn weights in lbs underneath the kilo numbers, show the lifters current subtotal, show their current placing within their weight class, show the leaderboard occasionally so people can actually have a clue as to what is happening in the competition without sitting there with a calculator and trying to keep track of it all themselves.

That bench was amazing. Benched 263 kg and then opened his deadlift at 275 kg. With a bit of work on deadlift, he could be the winner. Placed 4th.

Ray’s performance was interesting. That 3rd squat was scary.
