Luxury Navy Flake in a cob.
I'm kind of a plant nerd, and my favorite time to smoke in the summer is while inspecting and hand watering the landscaping.
My (special needs) son, who has declared personal war on the plants via throwing logs at them and jumping on them AND is deathly afraid of sprinklers and sprayers AND doesn't seek out personal connection came over and helped me with the watering.
It was an awesome evening.

The wifey just bought me a little Savinelli 320 as a gift...I'm excited! My first real quality pipe.

What are we smoking these days, gents? I’m working on a tin of Nat Sherman 536 (English). It is very nice and subtle. It isn’t as hearty as Frogmorton, but just a little more flavored than something like Erinmore.
And a hearty welcome to @Bcharles123, another brother of briar. Welcome!

Re: Pipe and Tobacco Thread
I picked up a small pouch of Missouri Meerschaum Great Dane when I bought my batch of smokable seconds, and have fallen in love with it. I'm usually a pretty heavy tobacco fan, and haven't liked the few aromatics I've tried, but I absolutely love the Great Dane.
That spurred me to pick up Cornell & Diehl's Jolly Old St. Nicholas, and I fucking love that, too.
I've been smoking those a lot, but when I need something darker I've been enjoying Peter Stokkebye's Luxury Bullseye Flake.

Had some Proper English from Stokkebye while shoveling the driveway for the last time this week hopefully.

I prefer the sweeter side as in Virginia’s, not aromatics, but Plumb Pudding is awesome. I’ve gotten it as a big chunk. It looks like a brownie.
My favorite, if I had to pick one, is 4th Generation 1931. Virginia and Burley flake. Strong, sweet (subtle), and smells great on either side of the pipe.

I recently sold 400 grams of Compton's of Galashiels for $450. I forget exactly what I originally paid for it...but that's gotta be like 450% appreciation of ~10 years.
Still have quite a stash on hand. @Testiclaw, you gotta help me get through it.
I might have bought some boots with the unexpected tobacco earnings.

...you should totally throw with my wife, though. She would love it and she doesn't give herself enough credit for her knowledge and experience.

End of July, right?
We'll be in Albuquerque for AO2 for a bit but she should throw in them, too...
I'll talk to her tonight.

Re: Pipe and Tobacco Thread
So did a thing today. First tobacco pipe. Nothing fancy, just a cheap $10 one to learn on before I move to a higher quality one.

MM Cobs are also great choices for a first pipe, because you won't feel bad about burning the shit out of it the first handful of times.
