Feats of Strength

Post feats of strength by anyone here.
For those of you who don't listen to the Stronger by Science podcast, they have a segment called Feats of Strength.
I'll probably post stuff from that that is maybe more obscure.
Gonna start with this though. (No disrespect to mettkeks' Maddox thread)

"His best bench is tied with my best squat, and I'm not a bad squatter." ~ Greg Nuckols

She is incredible but if I think her coach should push her into olympic lifting (or even crossfit) or a sport that offers scholarships*. With that said, she could easily set all the total (whatever class superheavyweight is for women) powerlifting records and by a large margin - both tested and untested. She is like Ray Williams with a decade head start.

*I do think there are a couple schools that offer partial scholarships for powerlifting.

She is awesome and still a kid. My life advice is unwarranted.

Her cousin is Gerard Warren, who was the 3rd overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft. 6’4” 330. She’s got some pretty good genetics going for her.

Good post.

Amazing balance along with the strength.

The squat is not the feat of strength. The recovery of the walkout is the feat of strength, the squat is just the cherry on top. Maybe I'm just sad because I don't own a monolift, but when you see a WR like that, after that walkout, it's hard to not think monolifts are like the kiddy version of lifting.

That walkout... Insane.

A proper squat bar would help with a lot of that. I heard Blaine on a podcast say the worst part of the walkout is the front to back oscillation of the bar.

I can understand not using a deadlift bar, the reluctance to use a squat bar for these insane ass weights just seems like an unnecessary risk to athlete safety.

I don't disagree, but while we're at it could also add some safety straps. If he trips and drops that... someone is going to get squelched. This isn't 1984, someone squatting 1k+ isn't a surprise.

I mean, Lasha is GOAT, but there's a video of Clarence squatting basically the same weight with no wraps and a full second pause at like 170 lbs less bw. It seems like Lasha should be able to handle that for 5 (maybe he can based off that speed, I don't watch enough of his videos).

I couldn’t find Clarence‘s 315 or 310, is it on YT? It looked to me like Lasha just tossed this off in training. My guess is he doesn’t do much WR stuff without adequate compensation. Clarence probably also. The web has really changed things that guys can post a PR on a good day rather than a certain Comp date when they might be off.

Yeah it's one of the top hits if you search "Clarence Kennedy squat" -- the title is in lbs, not kilos (675) like most of his videos.

I guess that's my point -- it's obviously a feat of strength compared to the rest of the human population, but for Lasha I assume it's a pretty off day rofl.

Bobby Thompson goes for a 452 log press and jacks up the clean...

Everyone: dang, guess I'll set this down and try again...

Bobby: nah, got this...

I don't know if that link works, but it's on Eleiko sport Canada Instagram. Somebody posted it on Strongfirst. This girl is putting a lot of guys to shame with this kind of pulling. Dang.
