Lack of Equipment Thread

Hi There,

Long time lurker, going to document my log of walking a lot, and dieting down a bit. I know its all very sexy stuff.

For background, best all time lifts are 200/300/405/500 and have never desired to push much beyond there. The 405 squat comes easiest and the other three are all pretty hard for me to maintain. Always wanted to have a crazy high chin number but never been about to get much above the low teens.

At the moment I've got no equipment so just gunna focus on what i can and thats walking and dieting. Enjoy!

Your log title had me thinking I was posting in the wrong subforum, or my phone was on the blink.

Welcome!

More random training background

SSLP got me to 200 press / 300 bench / 400 squat. Andy Bakers rotating 2/5/8s is the only program to get me to 500 DL. However, I got pretty fat getting up to 500 DL (short arms).

Definitely have had my time doing 5/3/1 but never really got strong on it.

Have also trained bodybuidling with Shelby Starnes several times, and while the time committment and diet component was too intense for me, I very much enjoy the way i feel during bodybuilding programs. So anyway, thats the history!

How fat did you get on SS? Those are strong numbers.

I was about 225 when I pulled 500. But that was a 25 lb gain in maybe 12 weeks, mostly fueled by ice cream. I was absolutely ravenous chasing 500. Every DL session took the wind out of me like crazy.

Well, turn out I am a terrible poster. I have fallen into a good routine of 7.5-12K steps per day split over two walks. Seems to have helped quite a bit actually, although work stress and reduced appetite play a part for sure.
