Giant Instagram Links When iPhone Browsing

Not sure if this is on my end due to my iPhone, but for people who repost their Instagram videos, the video screen is way too large for my iPhone screen, and I can't see the full frame when I try to watch it. This used to not be the case, but at some point changed, and I don't really remember when. Does anyone know what this issue is and hopefully have a fix? It seems everyone is on Instagram these days. Maybe I need to give up and start an account too.

This is a problem with the phpBB version we are running. I don’t know the actual reason it doesn’t work, but I do know that forums using the latest stable version of phpBB do not have this problem. I, too, think it sucks.
I’ll bug
@Manveer to see how much effort (and risk) it would be to update the forum software. I’m guessing we might lose some of the other features like the rankings until they were rebuilt.

Are you able to open the links in your mobile web browser?

Yes I can. But without an instagram account, browsing basically doesn’t work. I probably need to start one any way. Everyone else seems to have one lol.

Gotcha. That sucks, especially since the app is basically just a frameless browser now.

That’s good to know!
Around the same time it was fixed, I started deleting the “share ID” out of the URL Instagram provides when you copy the link from the app. I honestly wasn’t sure if that did something because all of my links started working fine.
On that note, I’d recommend everyone delete the “share ID” portion of the URL.
