I'm a big fan of the all-day-meeting-in-a-big-room-with-a-call-in-number. Sweet, I don't have to drive 3 hours each way to present for 15 minutes! Except, my time slot is 11:50. Which means I have to call in at 11:45 and probably wait two hours before they get to my agenda item, during which I will promptly be talked over about a topic from earlier in the day.

I voted today.

"No" on a couple Ohio ballot measures to tinker with the state constitution for things that probably don't belong in the constitution.
"Yes" on letting the local bowling alley serve alcohol on Sunday.

I'm just dripping with civic virtue now. I even have a little sticker that shows I'm a good citizen.

Two day meeting in London to what amounts to a meet and greet. With a call in.

I see you've been on one of the meetings I've chaired. Sorry we never got to your agenda item.

the best thing about being a self employed project manager during a live project is that I set the meeting times and the agenda. The worst thing about being a self employed project manager is when pitching for new projects I'm at the mercy of my clients. Consequently I'm bad at chasing new work.

Don't live there. We were pretty much 8am-10pm every night work/work dinners then 10-whenever I gave up at the hotel bar. Seattle later this week, and now looks like an Austin trip is shaping up. WTF. It's holidays this stuff has got to stop right?

I didn't vote. It was a school board seat and some kind of county official position I had never heard of. The school board position was between two people I have never heard of. The other thing the guy was running unopposed. There were no other measures on the ballot.

And drinking on Sunday...in a bowling alley!!! It's like you want to watch the world burn.

I didn't either. City commission seat and a choice to extend the current millage for the bus. Honestly, I should probably give the bus a shot to get downtown, parking is one of the big reasons I never go.

Speaking of voting:
It seems homophobe and crafter of failed bathroom bill Virginia legislator of 26 years was beaten by a trans woman.

Ha! I see what you did there. (only took me a day. )

We were good last night, and stopped watching Ray Donovan after episode 9.
I got to sleep before 11, and feel pretty good this morning.

I went to the dentist for a cleaning Weds. and ended up getting some shots and fillings. Felt like shit the whole rest of the day.

On the plus side, it's a glorious cold and sunny fall day outside.

I'm taking my wife to have that done on one of my rest days next week.
Her night vision for driving isn't great, and stupid daylight savings might have it be dark by the time she's done.

Dentist is in the next town over, so it's a bit of highway driving.
