I happened to have half a pool noodle left from car seat installation so I rigged a preacher curl setup:

Usually you stuff the pool noodle in the spot between the seat bottom and back to help level the base when installing.

Depending on the angle of the seat you might need something firm but compressible to get the seat at the correct angle.
