Any bar/price range recommendations for somebody looking to potentially buy one? I have no delusions that I am going to be some world-class weightlifter so I know I don't want to drop $700+ on an Eleiko but at the same time I don't know what a reasonable minimum price for a recreational weightlifter should be
I already own a powerlifting bar so this isn't going to be my first and only barbell

I think a Rogue or American Barbell 28mm bushing bar is worth the splurge.

I don't think you need a bearing bar (but if you really want one, the Rogue IWF bar is pretty sweet for $560)

IThe AB Training Bar (I own one) is a few bucks less than the California Bar, and I don't see much difference. Frankly, AB has several bars that are hard to tell apart.

It's worth checking the rogue boneyard for the occasional deal too. There's a pyrros all stainless in there for $500 right now.
I agree though, good bushing bars these days are probably fine. I think I used an Ohio the other day and it was fine (something rogue with dual marks). I like my AB stainless bearing bar better, but the Ohio spun pretty well.

I use a Rogue 2.0 bar with 28.5mm diameter and composite bushings. Hi-Temp bumper plates. No platform. Just bare concrete floor in garage. The whole setup is totally fine.
